35: He What?
Janessa's POV
I woke up to the sound of sniggering from another room. It must be Zac watching tv or summat. Wait, what?
I dizzily, more sleepy than dizzy to be honest, walked out of the room only to find myself with a funny face Griffyn laughing at people falling on tv.
"Good morning sleepy head! It's 1:00 already! Feeling hungry?" He asked
I shook my head, wherever the fucks Zac?
"Where's Zachary? did he leave yesterday or what" I said as I sat down
"Who?" He asked
"They guy that left wih me yesterday night," I said
"Ness , you didn't leave with anyone yesterday. I heard you say you were coming here to sleep early, what are you talking about?" He asked, puzzled expression across his face.
"Nevermind, forget it. I'm not trying that shit anymore it's the last time I do that.Seems like you did have some fun didn't ya?" I said
"Kinda yeah, I met this one girl that was tied to the wall, she's really nice." He said
Of course you did. And what about Jessie eh? Fucking men always playing with girls' hearts. It seems like it's the same with all of them.
Maybe Zachary didn't really tuck me in and all of that stuff, but the stoned dreams benefited me in a way. I could see him again, feel his cold skin against mine, I could hear him and his words.
"Think about me now and then, and get back with Alex." I could hear him say. What an angel, trying to fix things. I wonder if Alex is still with Arielle. And even if he isn't, he must be having the time of his life with the lads and other women. I sighed.
"Is your head feeling alright now?" Griff asked as we sat on the beach eating ice cream. I know, not much of a snack to eat in the beach considering the sand gets carried away by the wind and the sun is looking straight at you.
It's been a while since I haven't been to the sea. Even here it all looks like the same water, wonder how long would it take to swim back for Autumn and return here.
"Yeah, kinda thanks Griff" I smiled.
We kept talking when my phone rang.
"Who is it?" He asked
"Ah-" I said as I tried to get my eyes off of the sun paralysed stage to face my phone
"It's a foreign number! Should I answer it?" I asked as Lana's voice kept singing. Gosh I love my ringtone
"Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets though I don't know why" it sang
Griff glared at me and nodded
"Ello?" I said as I covered the sun from my face. And not only from the sun, honestly. This lady with this nasty body and with a little bikini was in front of us. Thank goodness I'm not wearing a bikini right now.
"Janessa?" I heard a familiar voice say. I also heard muffled voices in the background
"Yeh? Who's this?" I said, processing who it was
"It's me Matt" he said
"Matt! Hey how've you been?" I smiled
"Not as good. Ummm ah I-" he seemed nervous
"Is everything okay?"I asked
"No, Alex is in the hospital." He rapidly responded.
I dropped my phone to the sand. Griff flinched and picked it up to hand it to me. I was in shock. I'm having a little paranoia attack. Why hurt me like this?
"Eh hello? Hi?" I heard Griffyn say
"Uh? Who's this who are ya?" I heard Matt harden his voice
I woke up. I got my phone
"Ah Matt? Why is Alex in the hospital?" I asked concerned.
I don't even know why he's in there but I feel like someone grabbed my hand and cut one side of my mouth because I wasn't smiling as much now. Then they stitched it and didn't even put me to sleep to do it. Crooked forever smile.
"He was drunk and fell" he said
"Eh really?" I asked
"No tell her he tried to die" I heard Jamie say
"He what?!?" I half yelled, making an old lady that was around walk away.
He did what? What the actual fuck?
"Ah you need to get ere fast, Nessa." I heard Matt say
No, I can't go back there. I have to.
"Eh sure yes I'll book the next flight to LA I'll be back" I said
Griff looked at me wih a "and our deals?" Face. He doesn't know what's going on.
"Good, get back home soon Ness." Matt said and hung up.
'Get back home soon.'
