The Past Of June Darby

Sixteen

Arcee and I drove to the coordinates. When we arrived, I got off and Arcee transformed. She was immediately wrapped in web and electrocuted. I spotted Airachnid in the corner. I was told that I had until midnight to find my mom. I couldn't find her until Airachnid gestured toward her.

Midnight struck and I was next to my mom.

"I beat your deadline!", I told Airachnid.

"No, Jack. I'm afraid you weren't just supposed to find her, you had to save her. And times up.", Airachnid said, I looked down at mom worriedly.

"I'm sorry, mom.", I said as I was hit with Airachnid's web. 

I was given a choice, agonizing or excruciating. I didn't want to answer so my mom was given the choice. Airachnid got too close to my mom. She yelled my name in fear.

June POV

"Jack!", I yelled, not knowing what to do.

I spotted the symbol on the spider's chest, I recognized it. But where had I seen it before?

Flashback~

"June, I need to tell you something. I've already told Jayson. If you see this symbol, run. It's my enemies, the Decepticons. All they want is power and they will kill anyone who gets in their way, especially humans. Their leader has tried to kill my birth father hundreds of times, he failed. My dad is invincible....almost. Anyway, besides Megatron and Starscream, you need to watch out for Airachnid. She is Arcee's enemy. If Airachnid is near by, chances are so is Arcee. Airachnid collects the heads of different species. She calls them her trophies. If she ever comes to Earth that means humans are in danger. If you see a spider, which is where she got her name, run for your life and don't look back. Call out the name 'Arcee' as loud as you can. Her and I were good friends back home. Don't mention my name in her presence though if I'm not around. She is very sensitive about that kind of stuff. If you say the name of someone she is very close to, you're on the top of her hit list. Since you're a human, she won't hurt you. She'll only threaten you. Still, don't talk to her about me. Promise you will stay away from the 'cons and that you won't upset Arcee?", SilverBolt asked.

"I promise, Bolt.", I smiled, "Besides, Arcee sounds like fun."

"She can be......sometimes.", Silver smirked and walked off, leaving the photo of the symbol with me.

End of Flashback~

That's it! This is a Decepticon! And she's a spider.....NO! Please, anyone but Airachnid! Arcee, save me!

I continued to whine and tried not to look at Airachnid. The sound of a bike made Airachnid look away and she was attacked seconds later.

-time skip-

The motorcycle-bot walked over to me with Jack by her side.

"And she would be your.....", I trailed off.

"Motorcycle, guardian, Autobot, friend.", Jack answered.

"Call me Arcee.", I stood up and smiled, finally meeting one of Silver's friends.

"Thank you, Arcee.", I said and looked toward Jack.

"I think it's time for that ride you once made me promise.", Jack smiled.

Arcee transformed and I got on behind Jack. We started driving out of Jasper and beyond the city limits. We ended up driving into a base, an Autobot base. Before SilverBolt left, she gave me details about which Autobot looked like and how they acted. As we drove in, I could tell who everyone was.

Jack and I got off Arcee and she transformed.

"Mom, this is my science fiction club.", Jack said as I recalled him telling me about the Autobots.

"You must be Nurse Darby. I am Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots.", Optimus introduced himself.

I remember Silver telling me about him. This is her father or 'sire' as she said.

"It's nice to finally meet you, Optimus.", I smiled and got a very small smile in return.

"This is Ratchet, our medic, Bulkhead and Wheeljack, our warriors, Bumblebee, our scout, and you've already met Arcee, our stealth bot.", Optimus introduced the others.

"Hello.", I waved, "It's ten. I have to work in the morning."

"I'll drive you home.", Arcee transformed and Jack handed me a helmet.

"Optimus.", I looked up at the tall leader, Silver never mentioned him being so tall!

"Yes, Ms. Darby?", Optimus kelt down to my level.

"She loved you very much and returned home fifteen and a half years ago. I knew her well.", I said and put the helmet on.

"What do you mean?", Optimus asked.

"You'll understand soon.", I got on Arcee and we left.

"Who were you talking about, mom?", Jack asked me as we entered Jasper's city limits.

"An old friend. One Optimus knew very well.", I answered and we didn't speak the rest of the way.
