[Patricia's POV]

Amber, Trudy and I got to the hospital a few minutes after Fabian went to the hospital with Nina. I told the front desk who we were, but they wouldn't let us in. "Miss Martin is in an unstable state, and she needs rest." I wasn't going to give up without at least having one of us see her.

"Fabian Rutter is her boyfriend..." The nurse looked up at me shocked as I motioned to a boy with shaggy brown hair crying his heart out. Fabian wiped his tears and came to talk with the nurse. "Are you the boyfriend?" He nodded.

"Oh, my heavens! I'm terribly sorry for having you escorted out. Come this way." He followed her down a drab pinkish color hallway to a room from which I couldn't read the number. I sat with Amber as Trudy filled out the paperwork for Nina's test.

[Fabian's POV]

The nurse let me in the room and closed it quietly. A doctor was there examining Nina's head. She had a huge gash across her head that slightly dripped blood. I sat next to the doctor feeling unsteady. "Is she ok?"

He nodded. "I'm Doctor Cober Hollie, Miss Martin had a huge fall. She was hyperventilating, but we got her to a stable state. She's asleep now, but I have a feeling she'll wake up soon." I thanked him and he left with a hurry.

I kissed Nina's cheek and spoke in a soft tone. "Nina, I'm sorry I wasn't watching you, or had someone else watch you for that matter. You're in here because of me...I don't know when you'll wake up, but I hope it's soon because I miss having my girlfriend to talk to, and I can't stop thinking about you. I love you..." I kissed her cheek one last time and fell asleep next to her.

2 hours later...

I was woken up by that sweet tone that ran through my blazing mind all the time. The beautiful voice that seemed like swans swimming in a lake, or butterflies flying out into a field of wildflowers, or bees buzzing around the trees.

"Fabian..." that voice called to me. "Fabian..." I turned around to see my beautiful girlfriend's eyes opened once again. I cried and held her in my arms, but she wanted to refuse. Something wasn't right...this was not Nina Martin.

"Nina, what is it?" She looked down at her hands that were pulled into a fist. "Nina, you can tell me anything." She looked at my eyes deeply. "I got a call from the hospital, they told me that my Gran is dead..." She started to form tears under her eyes.

I felt like I should tell her the truth, it would be the most logical thing to do. That was the pro of it. The con was, she'd cry for a very long time. But, not telling the truth would show her a sign of relief, which was a pro. The con, I can't live too long with a lie. I would have to "spill the beans" sometime to her.

"Nina, you're Gran isn't dead. Your mind was just playing tricks on you. It wanted you to believe that she was gone." Nina formed a smile. I kissed her lips. She pulled us out of it quickly. "Can I see her?" Oh crap! I didn't think about that at all! Cmon Fabian, think!

It hit me like lightning. "They transported her back to America. She's at home resting." "Ok, I'll Skype her later." That was close. The doctor let Nina out a while later, I got that out of her mind for now.
