[Fabian's POV]
I woke up in my room. I had no idea what had happened. I remember being out in the woods with Joy, and we were looking for Nina...Nina! We still haven't found her! I'll never forgive myself if she's dead! I ran outside to find some answers.
I saw Eddie on the grass in a weird upright position. I huddled over to him and whispered. "Eddie, what are you doing?" He closed his eyes and spoke in a very calm tone of voice. "Yoga...Yacker says it can help calm your fears. Join me?"
I shook my head, which obviously he couldn't see, and ran off into the woods to find Nina.
[Nina's POV]
Rufus came in with a water bottle and 2 pieces of moldy cheese. He dropped it on the floor and untied me. "Eat..." I drank the water quickly, but refused to eat. "Why do you not eat?" I looked him in the eyes. "Have you seen the mold? I'm definitely not eating this," I said while holding the cheese. "You can eat if you want, but I will Not!"
Rufus left in a hurry. I looked at the windows, hoping to find a way out, but they were all barred up. I grabbed one of my hair pins and tried to pick the lock. I desperately needed to get out of here, before Rufus and Vera came back.
[Amber's POV]
Its been a day and I haven't seen Nina at all. I'm starting to get worried. She's my roommate and my job is to keep an eye on my roommate, and talk about hair, shoes, and clothes, but mostly keep an eye on her.
I told Mara about it, but she said she doesn't know where Nina is. I went to go find Fabian, maybe they were having a Fabina moment...
[Joy's POV]
Earlier hours...
"Fabes, you and I are going to have some fun!" I led Fabian deeper into the woods. There was a picnic table and a lot of food in the middle of two oak trees that formed a heart. It was sooooo meant to be...
Fabian reluctantly sat down and held my hands. "Fabian, I'm flattered..." When he realized what had happened, he quickly regrouped his thoughts. "Joy, I need to know where Nina is. I know you know where she is. And, you probably don't want me to know because then that would show that I still care about Nina, and you want me to forget about her and go on a date with me...but then that would imply that I'm into you, and I'm not."
During that whole conversation, or just Fabian's talking point, I started crying. He really did love Nina, and I know the right thing to do would be to tell him. I sucked up the tears and put on a straight face.
"Yes, I know where she is..." Fabian leaned in closer to me, sending shivers down my spine, like a child being left out in the freezing cold in the middle of winter. I told him in the shortest (and possibly the most painless) way possible. "I had her taken away because I wanted to spend time with you." Fabian, of course, didn't take it nicely.
"Joy, you witch! How could you do that? Where is she?" I shedded a few tears. "She's in a warehouse not far from here..." I pulled out a spare key that I had to the warehouse. It was a black key with a horse engraved on it. "Take this, it'll help you." He left without saying another word to me at all. I left to the house, while Fabian went to save his true love.
[Patricia's POV]
Eddie and I were doing homework in the living room when Joy popped in the door. "Hey, Joy. Where have you been?" Eddie asked without hesitation. "In the woods..." She answered sapping. "Doing what?" Joy started tearing up. "I told Fabian where Nina was." She quickly turned into the hallway and upstairs before Eddie could say something else. I followed close by, trying to comfort my BFF.
[Nina's POV]
Vera and Rufus came back a lot quicker than I thought. When Rufus unlocked the door and saw my hairpin, he slapped me across the face. "Trying to escape?" I held back the tears while Vera tied me back up. After she had finished her work, she looked me in the eye.
"Nina dear, where do we find the gem." I shook my head confusingly. I had no idea, that's what we were trying to figure it before all this happened. Then, I remembered the riddle that Frobisher-Smythe gave us. Inscribe letters of my daughter's name, from there, you must journey to the abyss of death and heed my eternal flame. I told Vera the riddle and she looked at Rufus shockingly.
Vera gave me a smug smile. "Thank you for telling us this wonderful information, Nina. We have 2 weeks before Ra crosses the sky, and then, Rufus shall cross into the afterlife." They left, while filled with great passion. Great. 2 weeks before Ra crosses the sky. If I don't find that gem and give it to Thoth, I'm dead.
