*Third Person's P.O.V.*

"Who is that?" Annabelle asked her sister, her brows furrowing in confusion as she heard a knock on the door of their house.

"It's Stefan," Elena replied quickly before standing up from where she was sitting at the table beside Bonnie, and making her way to the door before Annabelle could question her any further. Furrowing her brows in a frown, Annabelle quickly glanced at Bonnie before following her sister, who was already opening the door, revealing Stefan on their porch. "Hey. Thanks for coming. I wouldn't have called if it wasn't important,"

"I know that," Stefan nodded reassuringly as Annabelle turned to her dark-skinned friend.

"Hey, Bon, why don't you go and wait upstairs? We'll be right there,"

"Okay," Bonnie replied in a small voice, nodding as Annabelle gave her a small smile. As soon as the Bennett witch disappeared from her line of vision, Annabelle turned to follow her sister and Stefan, who were now both on the porch, closing the door behind her.

"You need to get tell Damon to leave Bonnie alone," Elena began as soon as the door shut behind them, her eyes wide and words coming out in a rush.

"Wait, slow down," Stefan demanded in a soothing voice. "What happened?"

"Your brother is a psychopath who gets off on scaring people half to death, that's what happened," Annabelle replied rather harshly, before immediately closing her eyes as she silently scolded herself. "I'm sorry. I know he's your brother, but you always made it your mission to protect us from him because you know how dangerous he is and now he's practically harassing Bonnie,"

"He threatened her, Stefan," Elena stressed.

"What would Damon want with Bonnie?" Stefan wondered out loud, his brows pulled together in a frown.

"She has this necklace," Elena replied tiredly as she paced on the porch. "Caroline got it from Damon, and she gave it to Bonnie, and now Damon wants it back,"

"And like I said, he's practically harassing her," Annabelle added from where she was standing leaning against the wall with her arms crossed over her chest.

"'Tormenting' would also be an appropriate verb," Elena nodded, looking at Stefan worriedly.

"Over a necklace," Stefan shook his head, as if in disbelief of his brother's actions.

"It's not just any necklace," Annabelle shook her head, making the vampire look at her with brows furrowed in confusion.

        "What do you mean?"

"Something we should have begun with," Annabelle muttered under her breath (though Stefan could hear her clearly with his supernatural hearing) as she pushed herself off the wall before looking at him seriously. "It's a witch's talisman. It belonged to her ancestor back in the Civil War days, which - if I did my math correctly - is also around the time you and Damon were human,"

"Emily, yeah," Stefan nodded, a look of understanding overtaking his features. "She was Katherine and Layla's handmaid, and a witch,"

"You know?" Elena raised her eyebrows in disbelief, her eyes filled with shock, though Annabelle couldn't understand why her sister seemed so surprised. Stefan was a vampire, it would make sense that he knew all about other supernatural creatures as well. "About Bonnie?"

"The first night that you invited me over for dinner, I made the connection," Stefan nodded.

"And now Damon knows, and, for whatever reason, he wants that medallion," Annabelle nodded to herself, before sighing and pinching the bridge of her nose in worry.
