-SOPHIA-
"Are you ready, Acacia?" I scream up the stairs while I'm waiting with Daniel in the living room.

"Yaaaaas!" She screams back and I instantly slap my own forehead.

"Why would you teach her that?!" I gaze up at Daniel who starts laughing and stands up while flicking the car keys with his fingers.

"I'm waiting in the car." He says in soft tones and left.

I huffed while looking around the villa. Breathing slowly in and out as I roll my eyes impatiently. I tapped with my fingertips on the coffee table, hearing footsteps coming closer to me.

"Sophia, where is Kyle?" My mother comes inside while stepping hardly on the ground with her high heels. I roll my eyes at her because she loves Kyle like her own son.

"Good Morning, mom. Yes, I feel like shit thanks you for asking. How are you?" I mock and scowl at her while she shakes her head and passes me.

"I asked you something."

"I don't know, mom," I respond in disgust. "We fought like always. He left to his apartment."

She sat in front of me now while swinging her leg over the other. "What did you do, again?"

My jaw dropped because she defended this pig, causing me tears while I suck my lips in. It's like everybody is against me. After Jayce or one of his shitty crew members left my bedroom, I couldn't sleep for days. If I ever see him again, I'll definitely ask him out. If he wants to scream at me, I'll let him. If he wants to break me, he just has to look at me without doing anything because I know that I'll never get him back.

"Sophia, it's normal to fight. A marriage without fighting isn't real." She utters while drinking her coffee she just got.

"Fighting every day constantly isn't a real marriage," I whisper.

"Pardon?" she raises her eyebrows so I should repeat myself. I just stare into her dark threatening eyes while breathing hard through my nose. Looking to my left while I bit my lip.

She doesn't know how bad he treats me yet is defending him over her own daughter. "I said that a marriage without love isn't real." I changed my sentence and her eyes widen.

"I didn't hear you say this." She stands up, leaving her coffee and fixing her skirt. I frown my eyebrows while my hands go through my hair.

"You don't care about anyone but Troye." I swallow nervously but she shakes her head.

"You just say that because Jayce is back in town." She suddenly argues and I stay silent. She knows? "What? You thought I didn't know? I'm still a lawyer, Sophia. And Jayce's family is still the enemy of our state. He is still a criminal and also, he left you. Don't you dare to tell me that he really loved you? It was four years ago, forget him already. You've got a daughter with Kyle." She rolls her eyes while talking to me as if I'm a child.

My anger grew as I stepped closer to her body, looking deeply into her eyes while I was close to giving everything up. "He never left me." I correct her as I try not to cry.

"Where is he then? I don't see him next to you." Her provoking voice echoes through my ear.

"Are fucking kidding me?!" I breathe out in disbelief.

"Language, Sop-"

"Fuck your language! Nobody understands me here in this God damn house. You ask me where he is? I better ask you since you always wanted Kylie and me to get together. Thank you for turning my life into hell! Thanks to you I had to leave Jayce. He never left, I had to break up because of Troye. Because of all of you. Jayce was the only one who truly cared about me-"
