-JAYCE-
"Jayce, where are you?" I hear Jason ask through the phone.

"Working."

"For two days straight?" The doubt behind his voice was definitely heard. I just cover the microphone with my palm to let a shaky breath out. Jason called my name multiple times so I'd answer him which caused me to shake my head while looking up to the moon then around the high park while I'm sitting under the tree.

"Jayce, the cops are here. They want you." He states in calmer tones and my eyebrows immediately frown, hitting the back of my head against the tree as I close my eyes.

Isn't it enough, God? Can't you stop giving me problems?

I answer without really questioning his words. It's not like the cops have no reason to want me and be at my home. I always had done something wrong. If not now, then they might have found something out I did in the past. "On my way," I answer.

"Hurry, 'cuz mom is freaking the hell out." Jason adds and I nodded, though he can't see me. Hanging the phone up but sitting here for a little while more. Just sitting in my spot, breathing deeply in and out, reminds me how this place once made me feel alive but now the opposite. I used to be so happy. I couldn't wait to see her that I literally was freaking out. The exciting thought of us letting both of our lives and everyone else behind, so it's only her and I, amazes me every time I think about it.

"Fucking hell." I mutter and stand up to go home after two days. Since what happened at the hockey game with Sophia, I couldn't face anyone but hide myself in the darkness like a vampire.

On my way inside our home I've already seen multiple police officers. I knew some better than the others since they always tried to get me in jail all these years and now I'm wondering what they want now.

"Hello, Mr. Smith." I wave at one of the police officers who hates me the most. His nostril widen the second he sees me while aiming his gun to my direction. His face turned red immediately, his eyes widen and I noticed his hands shaking because of how much he wants to see me in jail or better yet, dead.

"Mr. Smith!" yells another police officer to stop him to do something stupid on me. I just smirk to myself and nodded to their direction.

"Yeah, Mr. Smithy calm down." I wink before going inside but hearing how Mr.Smith is screaming around what a little boy I am and that he hates the whole world and God for not getting me to jail.

Slowly opening the doors to see my mother jumping up with teary eyes, "Jayce! You scared me! Where have you-"

"Mr. Sullivan you are under arrest-"

"Oh Jesus Christ! No!" My mom screams, interrupting the police officer. I'm hiding my little smirk because she definitely is exaggerating, "What have you done, Jayce?"

I let a chuckle out because her question is just hilarious. What have I done? She should be asking me what I haven't done all my lifetime. We go from killing to dealing with drugs up to killing for fun. Only thing left would be killing ourself but already tried and failed.

"What reason?" Is the only thing I ask while they tightly put handcuffs around my wrists. My eyes notice how Jason is freaking out but nodding at me the next second.

"For harassing and stalking." They answer me and I let a chuckle out. I really expected everything but this- and that they finally did their job right- but really?

"Don't worry, Jayce. I'll get you out of there!" Jason determines but I just shake my head.

"Let's go then." Is the last thing I say before they drag me in their car. On my way there I didn't think about anyone but Sophia. Damn her. I still feel her arms around me and how she rubbed the back of my neck with her thumb. The softness of her touch stabs my heart every second.
