Prologue
I was trained to be a weapon for the society— The perfect weapon. One who can take down an entire pack of hundreds in just one night. One who wages war against an Alpha and prevails. One who bangs on death's door and spits on his foot.
He taught me many things.
As a father; he taught me the differences between the good and the bad, which bears the truth and which bears nothing but lies.
As a teacher; he taught me how to handle and deal with things on my own, independently, without having to rely on someone.
And as the Head of the society; he taught me how to take a life.
Werewolves. One of our common enemies. They are wolf shape-shifters who hides themselves under humans' skin and clothing. The full moon is when they reveal what a monster they truly are; when their inner beast let lose and devours the human side of them.
It is said that the moon, round and huge and hanging on the midnight blue sky, pulls their monstrosity out like a giant magnet. Every night and every day is a struggle that one must defeat.
Once they deplete from the battle, they will be casted as a rogue for the rest of their lives. A feral, rabid dog; untamable and wild, it is known as the curse bestowed upon their gifts. They live their lives like barbarians and savages, their humanity buried down to the base of their skulls, huddled in the dark as the monster in them rules.
But it is also said, that in this midst of havoc, there is one advantage that changes even the littlest of things to mankind.
"When the wolf rises, they are more prone to silver than ever."
As of tonight, It is a full moon.
I will be hunting alongside my father.
