Come back, come back,

Come back to me like,

You would, you would,

If this was a movie.

Stand in the rain outside,

'til I came out.

Chapter 11  -  If This Was A Movie

It had been a week since the boys had left to go on tour. Georgia and I had barely managed to survive our first week of school, but got use to it by the end of the week. It was Saturday today and with the boys gone, I felt somewhat lonely, even with Georgia around.

I had slept in, but I was dressed and having breakfast at around ten. Toast with vegemite and a glass of orange juice was today’s breakfast.

After I had slowly munched breakfast down, I ran upstairs and flicked my laptop on. I opened Skype and sure enough Georgia was on, Niall was also on, but the other boys obviously weren’t up yet. Georgia and I had been calling the boys on Skype every day. I guess it did help, but despite the daily calls, I did still miss them all.

I tapped out a message to Niall:

“Get the other boys up now! They should be up, I mean, god, I thought I had slept in... – J xx”

Soon enough he replied:

“Haha, I think they might be a tad jetlagged, you have to remember, we only arrived in Australia a couple hours ago! I’ll go attempt to wake them? – N xx”

All in a couple minutes the boys popped online one by one.

I started a group call and waited for all of them to answer.

“Vas happenin’ everyone?” Zayn mumbled.

I gigged. “Well, not much really, how is your jetlag boys!?”

“Horrible” Louis yelled.

“It’s not nice...” Liam muttered.

“Don’t get me started” Harry answered.

“How’s Australia!?” Georgia asked.

“Well, from what we saw, it looks beautiful. We didn’t really get to see too much as it was dark. But the city lights were nice” Liam remarked.

“I’ve always wanted to go there! Next time take me with you!” I blurted out excitedly.

We talked for hours, but the boys had to go for dinner, so we hung up. I felt like we could talk for hours more, but five boys have to eat... especially when one of them is Niall Horan.

I decided I would take Roary down to the creek. I had him tacked and warmed up within twenty minutes and we strode out of the arena.

I rode over to Georgia’s and it took her twenty minutes as well to warm up Fritz. After the horses were certainly ready, we strode towards the creek.

When we reached the creek, we dismounted and sat on the edge of the murky stream.

“It’s nice down here. I’m so glad you convinced my parents to buy that block Jess!” Georgia exclaimed.

“That’s alright. And yes, it’s really nice down here. I remember when Mum, Dad, Jack and I came down, we use to have picnics, but we really haven’t done that since...” a tear streamed down my cheek.

“Oh Jess...” Georgia pulled me into a hug, “If you’d like to, tomorrow we could come and have a picnic! Your Mum could come too if you want?”

“That would be great Georgia, thank you” I replied, wiping my tears away.

After talking about various subjects; boyfriends, school, many different things, for hours, we decided we better head back before it started to get dark. I couldn’t believe the time when Georgia said we should go. It was already 4:53pm. Mum would be home soon.

It was 5:12pm when I walked through the door.

“Hey Mum!” I shouted.

“Hey darling! How was your day?” she shouted back.

“Good thank you, I talked to the boys on Skype and I went for a ride with Georgia down to the creek. Would you come on a picnic with us tomorrow?”

“Sounds great hun, and sure! It sounds like fun, count me in” she said as she appeared in the kitchen.

“So what’s for dinner?” I asked.

“Well, I was thinking we could get Nando’s? I’m too tired to cook” she replied.

“I’m not gonna question that” I giggled.

By 6:00pm we had eaten dinner and we sat down to watch Home and Away. I’ve always wanted to go to Australia, especially to see “Summer Bay” It really did look beautiful. Sunny, really sunny, unlike the sun rays we receive in our summer. I’m sure their winter would be warmer than our summer! I thought.

After Home and Away, I was well and truly ready for an early night. I pulled on my pink heart pyjamas and slid into bed. I read a few chapters of my book; How to kill a mockingbird. I just had to read it after Niall had told us all about it. He just didn’t understand why the mockingbird never dies; he was a silly boy sometimes...

I finally drifted off to sleep.
