chpt. 6 Spaghetti, Puns, and movies

hey guys sorry I haven't posted recently I am just lazy and busy with stuff so anyway hope you enjoy the story

"hey paps" sans said after walking into the cozy home.

"SANS! CALLIOPE WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN I WAS ABOUT TO MAKE CELEBROTORY SPAGEHTTI!" papyrus screamed as usual popping his head out of the kitchen.

"what were we pasta our curfew" calliope said giggling at her own pun.

Papyrus' face grew extremely annoyed, he let out a frustrated sigh and went back in the kitchen while sans fell down laughing. a few seconds after papyrus went in the kitchen Calliope could hear muffled screaming which only made her laugh more. When they finally calmed down sans leaned into calliope's ear and whispered

"hey just a warning you might want to help paps out with his spaghetti his cooking isn't the most.. uh... edible" he said Calliope nodded and walked into the kitchen only to find that papyrus was throwing purple sequins in the spaghetti

" AH! CALLIOPE! DO YOU WISH TO HELP ME WITH THE SPAGHETTI ! SORRY WE RAN OUT OF ORANGE GLITTER SO I HAD TO MAKE DUE WITH WHAT WE HAD!"calliope looked at what he had so far and what she saw on the counter scared her.

there were cleavers, cream cheese, parmesian, cardboard, bashed tomatoes, what appeared to be a pine needle chunk from one of the trees outside, and already burnt noodles in a pot. she noticed that papyrus had the heat turned all the way up and seconds later a small explosion of fire erupted into the kitchen making Calliope jump onto the counter and start hissing at the fire which made sans Chuckle. Calliope rolled her eyes as papyrus put out the fire. "Geez kid, I thought you had fire powers. Shouldn't you be used to it by now?"

"Shut it sans. And for the record my fire is made out of magic and can't harm me other than that explosion of death" calliope said showing the burn marks on the walls. Sans just chuckled and calliope looked at papyrus "paps, hate to break it to you but, I can't eat that" she said as papyrus' expression changed

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN HUMAN? ARE THESE INGREDIENTS NOT TO YOUR LIKING?" He said taking out the sequins

"Paps, I'll break it to you easily. Me human, me no eat craft items, it bad for me" she said slowly making sans chortle. "How's about I show you how to make human spaghetti" she said crossing her arms

"LIKE.... LIKE A NEW RECIPE!!!" he squealed full of enthusiasm like a puppy. when she nodded he literally jumped for joy as he made his way to the stove.

"ok so first since I am human I cant exactly eat certain things like you monsters can so that means that we will have to take out the sequins and cardboard" she said pointing to the inedible craft items. papyrus nodded and put them back in the cabinet.

"second where I come from spaghetti doesn't have cream cheese nor tree fur" and as she said that papyrus scraped it into a bag and put them into a fridge.

"good now what we WILL need for this are tomatoes, salt, pepper, non-burnt angel hair pasta, oregano, butter for the noodles, basil, and so on"she said pulling out the ingredients and putting them on the counter. Now, skin the tomatoes and boil them while slowly stirring in the spices, also don't turn the heat up too high, it should be boiling. Good" she said as they were cooking, after they were done, calliope mixed in some vegan butter (cause monsters don't have cows idiot) in the noodles to add some salt, added sauce, and topped the whole thing off with some Parmesan

"WOWEE THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME WITH THIS NEW RECIPE CALLIOPE!" papyrus said sitting down.

"no problem" calliope said then she got an idea "bone-apetit" calliope said sitting down then giggling.  sans laughed and papyrus let out an annoyed grown. sans tried the spaghetti and his face showed he really ike it

"wow guys this is PASTA-mazing" Sans said eating more. papyrus started to get a salty look on his face.

"guys don't you dare" his tone got serious which only made sans and calliope giggle.

"man papyrus you get mad fusilli reasons" calliope laughed. papyrus pushed his plate away, got up and stomped to his room.

"YOU RUINED THIS DINNER" papyrus said with a ton of anger in his voice.

" sorry paps is all mafalde" sans said laughing.

"I guess you could say things spirali out of control" calliope said laughing and they both fell to the ground.

"man papyrus you usually don't act this mad you must be" calliope started, papyrus shook his head and sans' face lit up

"AN IM-PASTA" sans and calliope both said at once making them almost die from laughter and papyrus' face grew so mad that he just went into his room and slammed the door while sans and calliope were literally rolling on the floor laughing, calliope holding her sides and sans holding where his stomach would be.

"man the pun PASTA-bilities are unbelievable" sans said laughing. Calliope was holding her sides and laughing like no tomorrow.

"too bad he had to spah-GETTI on out of here so soon" calliope said still clenching her sides. after they calmed down sans got up

"well, I'm gonna go read paps his bedtime story you can get ready for bed there are some spare sheets in the closet" he said starting downstairs.

"ok but do you have a bathroom I still need to wash my face from the fall, and where will I be sleeping?" she said looking at him from the ground. Sans nodded and pointed to a room down the hall

"you can sleep on the couch, but you can take my room if you want" he said still walking up the stairs but looking down at calliope

"nah, its cool, beats sleeping on a pile of leaves" she started to go upstairs too. sans gave her a questioning look but shrugged it off and went to read papyrus his story. Calliope walked into the bathroom and washed her face, she also changed into some comfy shorts and an old Rice university hoodie she had gotten when she still lived in Texas. When she came out she grabbed the pillow and blanket from the closet and plopped onto the couch. after about ten minutes she realized she couldn't sleep and that's when sans came out of papyrus' room and came in there.

"why you still up? I thought you had a pretty tiring day" sans said sitting next to her on the couch. He leaned against the arm of the couch and put his feet in her lap.

"I cant sleep, so wanna watch a movie" sans nodded and pulled out a movie from the cabinet. it was a movie called 'the lovely bones (freakin love that sad ass movie)"hold up, you guys have the lovely bones? Dude that's like my favorite movie! It's so sad" Calliope asked as sans nodded, popping the disk into the box as a trailer for a horror movie started playing.

"whenever people throw away the movies in a river they would wind up down here, our friend alphys collected them and gave us some of the non-anime ones she had" sans said watching as another trailer played. "I actually hadn't seen this one yet, is it good?" He asked looking at calliope

"Would it be my favorite movie if it wasn't?" She said chuckling. "But just a warning it's really sad" she said as the movie started playing. (Spoilers for those who haven't seen the lovely bones) it started off as a happy normal movie, teen romance and all that stuff, but a bit into the movie the mood took a complete 180 and calliope clutched onto sans as the main protagonist was killed by those-who-have-seen-the-movie-know-who (I HATE THEM SO MUCH)

"Chill calliope, it's just a movie" sans said holding her as she cried into his shirt.

"Sh-she had so much to live for" calliope said watching the rest of the movie. This happened a lot during the many sad parts of the movie, but eventually she fell asleep, leaning on sans. Sans chuckled watching the rest of the movie and falling asleep as well
