Undertale: the flame that binds us (sans x oc)

chpt. 14 not feeling well

Suddenly calliope heard footsteps racing down the stairs and into the living room. she saw sans race down the stairs. as sans made it down he ran over to calliope and held her head in his chest. "Firefly whats going on? I heard you crying and screaming! is everything alright" he said forcing her to look at him. calliope just hugged sans tightly and started to cry

"I'm so sorry" she said burying her face inside his shirt. sans comforted her as she kept crying. when she stopped she pulled away and wiped her eyes. "sans, I-" she was cut off by a huge sneeze erupting from her nose. sans jumped back and started panicking as calliope fell back on the couch as she had gotten a huge headrush. "ugh my head" she whined, rubbing her temples

"oh my asgore firefly whats wrong? what was that?ARE YOU DYING!?" sans said checking her forehead for a fever. calliope slowly sat up and shook her head. sans immidiately pushed her back down to where she was laying and gave her blankets and pillows to make sure she was extra comfy.

"sans, its probably just a cold, worst case scenario the flu, I'll be fine" she said looking at him and trying to get up. sans once again pushed her down and made her lay on the couch. calliope started coughing and sans freaked out even more. calliope sighed and hugged him "sans I am fine, this will blow over in a week or two. trust me I am not dying" she said as sans hugged back.

"are you sure? monsters don't get sick unless they've,...well....fallen down" sans said clutching onto her. calliope sighed and made sans look her in the eye.

"sans, I am half human. illness is normal for me. all I need is some hot tea and rest, and I'll be better before you know it!" she said hugging him. they stayed hugging each other for a while until calliopes stomach started rumbling. "hey sans" calliope said to a half-asleep sans

"yes firefly?" he said not bothering to move his head

"I'm hungry, do you think you could make me some soup. pretty pleeeaaaase" she said holding her stomach to show she was really hungry. sans shifted a bit and groaned. calliope rolled her eyes and started whining "pleeeaaaase my throat huuuuurts! and I'm siiiiiick! I want foooooooood!" she said louder and then started coughing. sans looked up at calliope while she was coughing and got up.

"alright firefly, I'll make you soup. but just so you know we only have the right stuff for tomato soup" sans told her. calliope absolutely hated tomatoes, but she nodded her head since she decided it wasn't best for her to talk at the moment. sans eventually came back with some tomato soup and some hot flower tea. calliope slowly slurped the savory soup (heh, alliteration) and she really didn't like the tomatoey flavor, but the soup was helping her throat (fun fact, tomato is really good for your throat, especially if you drink plain tomato juice -w- idk why i added that) sans sat next to her and wrapped his arm over her shoulders.

"thank you" she whispered as her voice had become hoarse. sans shushed her and handed her the tea to drink. the steam of the tea causing a pleasant aroma to fill the room and made calliope feel less like death. she sipped the tea, it was warm and sweet and, as you would guess, tasted of flowers. "where did you get this tea? it tastes really good" she croaked.

"well, the first human who came here, when they died,golden flowers started growing in the capital. no one but the king and queen know why. we decided to start harvesting them and using them for tea." he said. calliope was very interested in the story but her eyelids had grown very heavy. her head started spinning and she started coughing

"uuuugh" she said holding her head as she got into a sneezing fit. sans felt her forehead and she had one hella fever. Calliope tried to get up to put her mug away and started stumbling until she eventually fell back on the couch. "saaaans" she managed to choak out "I feel like deeeaaaath! me needs medicine" she said groaning on the couch while laying face-down. sans panicked and looked around for something to help "saaans, my baaaaag! get me the advil or musinex or somethiiiiing" she whined rolling over. her face started to turn pale from how sick she was. sans rushed over to her bag and started shoveling through it "saaaaaaaans" she whined even more just as sans had found the medicine she needed. he gave calliope the directed amount on the bottle and calliope quickly took it. it would be a minute before it kicked in so calliope held onto sans and was whining. after it kicked in calliope felt better, but not all the way. she had to breath through her mouth and she was as pale as voldemort.

"firefly, I think we need to go see dr.alphys" sans said looking at calliope who was tring to stand so she could get some water. she stumbled and fell onto the couch and let out a little sneeze and started groaning

"I'm fiiiine. its just a cold" she started to slur her words as she slumped onto the couch. sans sighed and picked her up as she tried to stuggle, key word tried, and he teleported them over to alphys' lab. sans knocked on the door and calliope groaned. about a minute later alphys opened the door and let them in.

"you know, its a g-g-good thing you c-came to me, s-since calliope arrived I-I have been studying h-human infections in c-c-case something went w-wrong" she said inspecting calliope. after finding out all the abnormalties she typed them into the computer and compaired them to human illnesses she had been studying. as she was typing she saw a lot of the symptoms of some serious hamn infections and she looked up how to treat said infections "l-looks like you have b-b-bronchitis, its not t-to serious b-b-but you w-will need some antibiotics and a-a humidifier" alphys said. sans walked over to alphys and whispered something in her ear "n-no, its n-not that serious, b-but she isn't allowed t-t-to leave the h-house" alphys said. calliope groaned at those words.

"thanks alphys, I'll take her home right away" sans said picking up calliope again. as they teleported back sans decided to give calliope the medications alphys had given him and made calliope some hot flower tea. after drinking the tea calliope was extremely tired as a side effect of the meds. as calliope fell asleep sans kissed her cheek, or well, pressed his teeth against it. he decided to put calliope in his room and he fell asleep in the bed with her
