Serenity. It meant to be calm and peaceful, which I've always been told to be.
Serenity, which turned out to be my name. Whether it was a burden or a gift, I was stuck with it unless I decided to change my name which would be unnecessary and would leave my mother upset over the name she'd spent about two months picking out gone.
So that's why I stick with the nickname Ren. I've done research and figured out it's from the Japanese origin, even though I'm not Japanese. I've also found out that it means confucianism, teachings on ethics and more— I think.
Since I've never been so sure of what Ren entirely meant, I decided to make my own definition— dauntess, adventurous, carefree, basically everything postive, except for what my real name meant.
