09 - Koushi Sugawara

You walk down the halls heading to class before school starts, you were alone, like always. You get to your class and sit down in your usual spot. You take out your favourite book and place your book mark on the desk and start reading. Someone walks into the classroom, you didn't turn to see who it was, you just kept on reading. The person laughs and sits down in the desk beside you. "I see you reading that every day, is it good?" The boy asks, you grab your book mark and place it between the pages. "It's pretty good, it just really depends on what genre you like to read." You smile and push your (H/C) hair behind your ear.

"That's a pretty book mark." He points to your beaded bookmark. You smile and grab the beaded strand, "My grandmother made it for me." You reply and open your book, you weren't good talking to boys, you put your bookmark down on the desk again. "Azumane I have a question." He asks in a kind tone. "Hm?" You reply while reading. "I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date?" He asks while looking at your bookmark. "Sorry, it's just it's really pretty, you grandmother did a really good job." You blush deeply and he hands it back to you. You put it between the pages once again. "Why?" You ask him. "I like you Azumane, I want to be with you." He stands up and closes the gap between you to. "Sugawara... I don't know if I'm capable of falling in love..." You confess. He just gives you a kind smile.

"I know your past Azumane... I know it's hard..." He caress your hair and smiles wider. "Your brother told me..." He kisses the top of your head. "I won't ever hurt you." You have tears going down your cheeks. Touched how a boy was so kind and gentle with you.

In the last relationship you were in, you were sexually assaulted. You swore to never fall in love again. You were attacked by your boyfriend and it almost got to the point where you had no clothes on. You were crying and he hurt you. Your crying caught your brother's attention, so he ran upstairs and banged on the door.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N)! Are you okay?" Your brother screamed, you cried out, "A-Asahi!" You cried out for your brother. "He won't get off of me!" You cried as you tried to get away from him. Your brother busts through the door. "Get off of her!" Asahi roared, pulling the guy off of you. Asahi throws him against the wall, "Don't you ever touch her again!" He punched him a few times, "Get out! Don't ever come back!" The guy nods and runs out of there. From then on, your brother was only scary when it came to his sister. The rumours that were spread around about your brother spread like wildfire. No one really knew the truth, you were so thankful to have a brother like Asahi.

"Sugawara... Are you sure?" You cry out to him, he just holds you close. "I promise you (Y/N)... I won't ever hurt you." He makes sure you feel safe. You cry for a few minutes. "Sugawara... I'll go out on a date with you..." You say quietly. He just smiles and holds you.

For one in for in your life, you felt like you could love again...
