11 - Yū Nishinoya

You were walking from the club room and suddenly you were trampled by someone, "Sorry! Sorry! I slept in this morning and I-" He cuts himself off when he sees you, "Are you the libero for the girls team?" He asks with a smile on his face. You just laugh and nod, "Yes Nishinoya-senpai." His cheeks flare up and he scrambles off of you, "I have to go! I'll see you later!" He says in an embarrassed tone, you just dust off your uniform and run to the gym.

"What took you so long (Your name)?" You friends ask you, "Oh the libero from the boy's team finally noticed I existed." You laugh and start practise. They just start doing drills and you worked at full throttle.

You had balls spiked and serve to you over and over, "(Your name) you should really have a break!" Your best friend says with concern. "A ball technically hasn't hit the floor, I'm going till it hit the floor. "But you've been doing this for half an hour! You're pushing yourself over the limit!" You growl, "If the ball is in the air the game isn't over yet!" You say then receiving the ball perfectly.

"You're drawing in a crowd." The quiet setter motions to the door, you ignore her and keep on practising. You just smile as the ball goes farther than usual and you speed towards the ball and use your foot to keep it in play, everyone looks at you in awe, you huff and huff and your best friend looks at you with concern, "We should-" You glare at her and yell, "I'm not stopping!"

The boys team only looks at you with surprise, Nishinoya walks up to the setter, "How long has she been doing this?" He asks quietly, the girl shakes her head and looks at the manager's watch. "She's been doing this for half an hour or so, non-stop." She then picks up her bag, "It's about forty minutes over practise time, I got to go, tell (Your name) I'll see her tomorrow." His eyes widen and looks at you, he then walks over to the boys, "How long has she been doing this?" Sugawara asks, "She's been doing this for half an hour." He watches you with amazement.

"She has great stamina, hours of practice then doing more practise, but she needs to stop before over working herself." He replies, you wipe sweat away and you turn to see the dark haired setter, you grin and point to him, he flinches and gives you a look of confusion, "Show me the jump serve of yours." His eyes widen, he sighs then nods. "You need to rest (Your name)-senpai..." Your teammates say to you, "Five serves then I'll stop." They all nod and you get ready.

Everyone continues to look at you with amazement, you were able to keep the ball airborne, this was a boy's level of volleyball. You felt a thrill, Nishinoya looks at every movement.

"She's enjoying receiving serves like that." Samurawa smiles a little, "It would of been cool if we had her on our team." He smiles then hits Nishinoya's back. "But don't worry, we love you." He laughs and Nishinoya just watches you play.

It was the last serve, a setter comes in and you receive the ball perfectly, the setter sets and you run from the back line and jump before the attack line and spike it in. Everyone stops with shock overflowing them. "C-Can you set t-too?" Nishinoya asks, you just smile and give Kageyama a look, he nods and you look at the setter, she nods nervously. You get ready and once the ball is airborne, you wait for the perfect moment to set the ball. You jump before the attack line, feeling like you were airborne forever but it was only a few seconds, it felt nice to play boys level volleyball, your entire life you wished you were a boy, but this had to do.

As the ball is being set, your friend gets ready to spike, the spike she did wasn't as hard as yours, but you felt happy.

"She looks at home with Kageyama serving to her." Nishinoya just smiles and continues to watch her, ignoring the captain of the team.

"He's completely fallen..." He smiles at the short one while talking to Samurawa. The captain only laughs and nods. "Hey Nishinoya, you should ask her out." Sugawara smiles, Yū just stays in his world.

After your serves were done Yū runs up to you, "How can you do that?" He asks loudly, you just giggle and wipe sweat away and you take a drink, "Well my brother is Oikawa Tōru, I have to be good as him." Everyone just looks at you with a surprised look, well everyone accept Tsukishima and Kageyama, "He taught me to be that strong, he kind of regrets it though." You laugh while fixing your hair and walking out of the building. Yū just runs after you asking more questions.
