What can I say? He was hurting a perfect, innocent angel. I couldn't just stand idly by.

At first, I was watching from a distance as I often do when it comes to Phil Lester's day-to-day life. I like to think of myself as his bodyguard, willing to put myself in harm's way to prevent anything that could possibly dampen his sunshiny spirit. And in that moment, intently observing from behind a tree, it was very clear that that was exactly what that disheveled idiot was aiming to do.

There was yelling. A ton of it. I knew my baby shouldn't have saved that monster from his bees. I knew he wouldn't be grateful.

It wasn't Philly's fault that he can be a little clumsy sometimes. In fact, it's one of the things I love about him. I'm just glad that he wasn't the one being attacked; he was under a lot of stress already, after all. After learning about his beekeeping passion, I read up on the subject and quickly discovered the complexity of it that had never come to mind beforehand. It was a lot to deal with, that's for sure and I could only imagine how exhausted my poor Philly was because of it.

Phil Lester is simply incapable of intentionally doing any single bad thing. He only cares about others. Why else would he keep bees in the first place? Those reckless pests would be useless if not for the thriving flowers they help grow that could easily make a girl swoon. Not to mention his honey recipe that is, without a doubt, the most decadent and genius combination of flavors that has ever blessed my tongue.

Whenever anyone does something remotely damaging to Phil, I can't help but forget that taste. Instead, there is only hate. For my love, I take care of the people who rip away his happiness as if it is nothing more than a week old band aid. I would do anything for him. He deserves it.

He deserves me.
