Those Three Short Words

Chapter Seven

When I made it into Nic's house she tackled me down to the ground and threatened that she would only get off of me if I told her what happened with Perry. I told her everything from when we listened to Katy Perry's Unconditionally to when we sort of got engaged.

"Oh my gosh! Are you sure that you want to go through with it? I mean you are only 16! Think about long term." She was really surprised. 

"I don't know what the future holds for me but right now this feels right and I want to be with him. We can be engaged and not have to get married for years down the road. All this is a commitment to one another." I was trying not to sound as emotional as I was feeling.

"Did he bring it up first or did you? And keep in mind that this was your guys first date. What will you guys do next? Buy a house together or something?" She sounded as scared as I was right now.

"I brought it up first kinda. But he is the one who said that he wanted to marry me. And I told him that I wanted to spend my life with him as well. Then a few minutes ago he sent me a text saying that when he can afford a ring for me then he will get down on one knee and ask me to marry him. And for your info I have known him longer than you and most of my friends. So its not like I just met this guy. I have been in love with him for a year or so and he has been in love with me for three years. Yes we are young but who cares. Love happens when it does. Some people don't find love till there like 50. And some people get luck like Perry and I and finds each other when they are young."

"Wow, when did you grow up so much?" She seemed surprised by my comment.

"I don't know, I guess that I have always been mature." We both started laughing.

"Well I call dibs on being your maid of honor!"

"Sorry, Lexi already did that a LONG time ago. Just like I am her maid of honor when ever that day with roll around. Oh that reminds me, I need to tell her!!"

"Fine!" She seemed disappointed by that. Oh well. Lexi is my best friend and I promised, I am not going to break a promise that big.

I reach into my pocket and called her.

"Hello...?" She sounded really tierd.

"Lexi! Wake yourself up more! I have something really big to tell you and you need to be more awake to hear it!"

"It better be good Alice!" I could her the anger in her voice. She hates to be woken up.

"Perry and I are unofficially engaged!" 

"Cool, all I have to say is I am your Maid of honor!" Her mood sounded a little bit happier than before.

"Yes you are and there isn't a dought in my mind about that. Also Saphira is going to be my flower girl! She would make a great flower girl!" Saphira is Lexis little sister she is also like my niece.I love that little girl so much! She is only 4 right now.

"Oh my gosh, she would! Do you guys know when the date is yet?" She sounded really happy.

"No I don't, mostly because he told me that he wants to marry me like two hours ago. And ten minutes ago he told me that he was going to get me a ring when he can afford it. So I don't know when I will get a ring let alone the date!" 

"Oh well that makes a difference."

"Why would I be planning something this big and NOT tell you about it?!"

"Yeah good point.Hey cut me some slack. You just woke me up like five minutes ago."

"Well then I will let you go so you can sleep. Good night!"
