Chapter Nine

Alice's P.O.V.

It was nice to talk to Nic again. I have been caught up in everything that has happened to me that I didn't even think that she had met a guy, let alone one from Hawaii.

"How long have you guys been talking for?" I was so curious to find out everything that is going on with her.

"Well, he first commented on my story at the begining of last school year. So about since then."

"Oh, thats really cute Nic."

Just then I got a text. I was expecting it to be Perry or Kay; but I could'nt have been more wrong. It was my ex-boyfriend. We were on good terms but it was still weird to get a text from him.

I could tell that my face showed the emotion that I had been feeling when Nic asked, "Who is it?"

"Its Layton!"

"Its okay. You guys talk dontcha?"

"Yeah, but we dont text so this is weird." 

We had dated for 10 months back in freshman year. I had fellen for him hard. He was defintanly my first love. In those 10 months he had became my whole world, so when he dumped me at the beging of summer after fresham year because "just wanted to be friends" but I later learned he broke up with me because he wanted to be with another chick, it was devestating. And because I still had feelings for him I forgave him and we became friends again.

LAYTON: Hey so umm, I heard about you guys. I hope you are happy but I don't want you to rush into anything. I dont want to see you get hurt. But if you wanna know what I think, I think that you deserve better than him and I think that you know that also. I just dont want to see you make a huge mistack and I feel that is what you are doing here. :/

ME: I apperatiate the thoughtfullness of it but you are just my friend. 

LAYTON: A friend who loves you and cares for you. You know that I just broke up with Meg. I never told you why though. The reason why is because of you. I reliezed how great of a person youy are for forgiving me after all the crap I put you through and did to you. I am so sorry. I messed up big time. And now I cat make it up to you.

Layton's P.O.V.

Man I really did screw up with Ali didn't I?

ALI: I am really sorry Lay, but I want to be with Perry. I dont think that I am making a mistake. Not at all. I am really tierd of you breaking my heart then trying get me back, sorry but this time I am not coming back to you like that. I want oyu to still be in my lfe though.

ME: I promise I still will. And I can't assume that you will come back after the last thing that I did to you let alone now that you are engaged with Perry. He is a very lucky guy. I am happy as long as you are happy.

I love her so much. I wish I hadn't messed things up like I did. I really think that she is the one for me but now I can never tell her. I wish that I could. We were only 14 when we were together. I didn't know how to love a person. I didn't know how to treat her. Now I do. I can really relate to Bruno Mars' When I was you man, right now. I wish I could make it up to her.

ALI: Thanks, but all this engagement is to us is a comittment to one another. We are in no hurry to walk down the isle yet. 

ME: Really?

That might mean I have a chance to win her back. No! That is wrong! I can't do that to her. I only want her happy.

ALI: Yeah. Dude I am only 17!

ME: Okay good!

ALI: Haha, hey it was really nice talking with you again. I have to go, but text me later, okay? :D

ME: I promise. Bye XD

I love her so much. That was the only thing hta I could thik of when I talk to her.

Alice's P.O.V.

When my mom came and got me from Nic's we had a queit ride. All till my mom said "Did anything big happen to you last night?"

"I spent some time with Perry, but thats about it."

"Fun."

"Yup I think so."

By the time I got home it was really late and I had to do tons of homework that i waited till the late on a Sunday to do, again.

When I was finally done with all my homework I get a text from Lay

LAYTON: Hey beautiful. Whatcha doing?

ME: Hey, I just got done with stupid homework. I hate it. X0

LAYTON: Me too, that's why I don't do my homework lol

ME: lol Yeah but you are falling your classes.

LAYTON: Hey thats for other reasons also!

ME: Like you not doing your work?!

LAYTON: You know me so well! Its amazzing! :D

ME: Lol!

Layton's P.O.V.

I love her and I want to tell her. I messed up big time and all I wan to do is make it up to her.
