Those Three Short Words

Chapter Eight

I am engaged before my senior year of high school starts to a guy I love so much! Kay, Haley, Lexi, and I have been friends since jounor high. Nic and I have been friends since fresham year. These girls are my closest friends. I would not want anyother people in my life to be this close to me! It only feels right to tell them and to include them in my wedding!

I decieded to call Kay first. Kay's reall name is Kimberaly but we have alwaysed called her Kay. She is like our 'Mother Hen' in a way. She was alwaysed there if we needed her. She is a great friend. I do love her for always being there and saying exactly ewhat i needed to hear. Because of her many years of reading Cosmo, she is an expert in everything a teenage girl goes through.

"Hello" She is not expecting what I am about to say. She knows that I am in love with Perry, but not even I knew that this was coming.

"Hey Kay, I have huge news to tell you!!!!!!!!" I was almost screeming but I knew I had to try and contain it because Nic was still asleep.

"What's up, girly?"

"So you know that Perry and I went on a date last night?"

"Yeah."

"We're engaged!!!" Now i dont care if I wake up Nic.

"Oh my gosh! Are you kidding?! You have to be! You are only 16!" She sounded really happy. Thats exactly what I wanted!

"No I am not!! He asked me last night." I was letting out all of my excitment that I was holding in. I was acting like a kid at Disney Land for the very first time.

"Do you have the ring yet?" 

"No I dont. Right now it is just a commitment to one another. But I will marry him. And everyone is forgetting that I will be turning 17 in 6 weeks!"

"How cute! Have you told your parents yet?"

"Of course not! I want Perry to be there also. I want to be there when he tells his mother. I have a strong feeling that when they all find out that they are going to think that I am pregnant."

"Are you?"

"Of course no! We have kissed a hand-ful of times last night."

"Then how do you know that you want to merry him?"

"You of all people should know why! I talk about him non-stop to you! You know I feel about him. I have talked about marrying him a couple of times. I love him with all my heart! He is my bestfriend and the only person that I have thought about for as long as I can remember."

"Thats true."

"I know it is. I have to go.I have to tell Haley. Good bye Loves."

"Okay, bye Loves."

So after that conversation I found Haley's contact and called her.

"Hello? You do know that it is early right?"

"Its only 10 in the morning! But I have huge news that you need to know about since you are one of my best friend of all time!"

"What is it?"

"Perry and I are engaged and you are going to be one of my brides maids!!! Well if you want anyways."

"Are you kidding me Alice?! Thats great news! I am so happy for you! And of course I want to be one of your brides maids! This is great!"

"I know! I am so happy!"

"Do you have a ring yet?"

"No he wants to save up some money to buy me one that is worthy to be on my ring! I love him so much!"
