The cold winds of Northrend

As Karn exited the keep the flurry of wind and snow blinded the guards so he could get past. But as he was about to step off the drawbridge and into the dark sand a voice shouted at him from near the gate. "Stop monster!" The voice said, as Karn turned and looked he saw a paladin clad in Holy retribution armor. The paladin demounted from her horse and drew her sword. "You will not leave here alive beast!" She shouted and the charged Karn. But with a quick dash of his arm Karn caught her blade before it struck. Karn then froze the blade and snapped it in half while driving a spike formed from pure ice into the paladins leg.

The paladin gave out a yelping cry and dropped to her knees while grabbing the spike. "Next time I won't be so merciful" Karn said, as he turned to leave a bolt of holy light struck him in the back of the head. Karn grabbed his head and spun around to find a human priest charging about spell. But before the priest could open his mouth Karn death gripped him closer. "You shall get no mercy" Karn said as he cast Strangulate on the priest. It began to choke the priest very violently and he could no longer speak or breath Karn began to drag him away from the keep, the paladin saw this horror and screamed out but shortly passed out afterwards.

Karn pulled the priest with him for sometime. The priest had passed sometime before they were out of sight of Vallance keep. Karn laid the body down on some stones and began to chant some dark and twisted words. Then suddenly the priests body began to convulse and seize up. After a few minutes of this the body rose and was now a ghoul. Karns ghoul to be exact. "There is no rest in the afterlife" Karn looked at the ghoul and found a small pendent in it's pocket. He pulled the pendent out and examined it. What he saw was a picture of a woman and a small girl child. Karn looked at this image for a few minutes before freezing and shattering it in his hand. "You are now to be called Sorrow Unending" he said to the ghoul. The ghoul only made a low guttering noise. Karn threw the shattered remains of the pendent on the ground and summoned his Deathcharger and galloped away into the massive jungle of Sholazar Basin, Sorrow Unending quickly on his heels.

Usileth awoke to the sounds of cannon fire and screaming voices. She quickly grabbed her staff and ran outside the keep to find the risen Nerubians had breached a part of the wall and were quickly storming in. Men fired their cannons and arrows but it did not stem the tide. Usileth had to think quick, and quick she did. She rushed up the scaffolding of the wall and when she was at the top of the wall she pulled a small seed out of her pocket and threw it on to the opening of the wall. She chanted a few words and the seed began to grow fast into a thick tree wall. Any Nerubians caught within the wall were quickly peirced by roots of the tree wall and killed. For a moment this seemed to work but then wave upon wave of undead bugs kept smashing into the wall in an attempt to tear it down. Soon the wall began to creaked and crack and almost gave in when a sudden burst of frosty wind swept in.

The wind blinded everyone in the keep and and lasted for a few good minutes before it let up. The sight that lay before Usileth made her jaw hang a little. The entire side of the collapsed wall had been frozen over. All the Nerubians were now icy statues and the tree wall was filled with small icy flowers that seemed to be looking towards Usileth. A small smile spread across her face and she only had her thoughts. 'Karn...'
