As kid, my favorite game ever was hide and seek. Me and my friends loved to play this game all the time. Seeing as we live in Galway, there were a bunch of docks and boats we could hide in.

But my favorite part about this game was that I would always win. I'm 16 and 5"3, so I'm unusually small for my age and weight. I could fit into almost anything I wanted to if I tried. I also didn't get restless and could stay in the same spot for over an hour, which was how long some of our games dragged on to. I would wait for the longest time until the friend that was the "seeker" screamed for me to come out because they gave up.

One evening ((that was the time we usually played)) we were playing and the "seeker" was Nevaeh. She was the best seeker and found everyone but me in usually less than 10 minutes. She started counting to 1:00 and we all ran our separate ways. My 4 other friends that I was playing with went to the most obvious spot; the shipping crates near the boats. But I went to quickly discover a new area. Which I did. It was an old, unowned boat that was on the farthest side of the docks. It smelled disgusting but no one ever looked there so I decided to sacrifice my nose for awhile. Another plus about my new hiding spot was that it was completely dark. How I found myself under the splintered table, I don't know. But I waited. And waited. Nothing new. And waited.

Except this time I started feeling weird. I suddenly became very tired and my body felt heavy. So what did my stupid-ass 12 year old self do, she took a fucking nap. Under a splintered table and on top of wet, rotten floor boards. Disgusting I know.

But I was so asleep that I didn't notice Naveah screaming from far away. She was probably still 3 or 4 boats down from me and she already gave up. When I woke up, I had all this black stuff in my hair. It almost looked like it snowed but the snowflakes were black. I ran out of the boat but saw my friends were nowhere in sight. It was dark outside by now. I don't know how long I was asleep.

I even resorted to asking an elderly captain if he saw any girls run by. He told me no but looked at me weirdly. I remember that I forgot honorifics ((they aren't as strict as East Asian countries, but Ireland has honorifics as well)) and walked away without saying good evening or whatever.

I decided to go home because I had already searched for my friends for an hour and they didn't turn up. I was walking down the harbor to my house, which was fairly close, when something stopped me. It was a pale lady, as white as paper, and she had long blonde hair that kinda cascaded around her hips. It reminds me of a golden waterfall only it was curled at the bottom. She was wearing a SUPER traditional Irish dress.

It looked similar to this 👇🏼

So it was really odd, considering everyone in the area and most of Ireland I would guess wears modern clothing

So it was really odd, considering everyone in the area and most of Ireland I would guess wears modern clothing. Except for me and children my age. We wore stupid uniforms to our secondary school. Anyways:

I obviously looked at her weirdly. Who wouldn't? I got stopped by a strange lady that looked like she just came out of the 1600's! She just stared at me. I went to walk past her but without turning around, she grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

In clear English she said "Where are your manners?" I was JUST starting to learn English at the time so I barely understood her. But I knew the gist of what she was saying. But as a child, I was known in my class as being the loud, ill mannered child. ((Lmao I was apparently Baekhyun and Sehun what)) so I just glared and tried to walk away. But for the second time I was pulled back. But this time I was really angry because I wanted to get home. She suddenly screamed at me in Irish "You were wrong to disrespect me!" And I was thrown into cold water.

The last thing I saw was the wooden harbor disappearing above me and my vision going black.

And then, I woke up

Ugh this nightmare still makes me shiver. I don't know how I remember it so crystal clear though.

BUH-BYE!!!
