"What are you going to be for Halloween? A scawy wittle bunny?" My friend Alana teased in a mocking voice. I rolled my eyes and lightly punched her.

"No you idiot! I'm actually going to be a doll. Besides, if any of us were to be a 'scawy wittle bunny', it would obviously be you!" She laughed stopped suddenly, a smirk creeping onto her face. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked in the direction of where she was looking.

"Are you sick?" I said while jokingly putting my hand over her forehead.

"Yes I am actually. I'm sick of all this tension between you and Mark. Go ask him what he's going to be for Halloween! Impress him!"

Suddenly I was pushed over next to Mark. He looked at me and I swear the world stopped. Or that was just me falling on top of him because of someone.

"Woah are you ok?" He said pulling me away from him. I glared at Alana but smiled and nodded anyways. I looked up at him and he was smiling down at me.

"By the way, what are you going to be for Halloween?" I'm glad I didn't stutter like I usually do when talking to him.

"I'm going to be a werewolf!" He said excitedly. I heard Nick, one of his friends, snort. When we looked over at him, he had a doubting expression.

"Oh please, we all know you can't pull that off. You'll end up looking like a puppy instead!" He said laughing with his other friends. Mark rolled his eyes and looked back towards me.

"So what are you going to be?" He said. I stared back for a few seconds before replying.

"I'm going to be a creepy doll!" I said proudly. His smile got wider and he laughed lightly.

"That's perfect for you. You've already got the pretty looks of a doll. All you need is the dress" That caught me off guard and I blushed. Every single one of his friends and Alana groaned at the same time.

"Just kiss!" Nick yelled out. Mark smirked and I smiled. Eh. Why not right? He leaned down and out of the corner of my eye, I saw that everyone was shocked that we were actually going to kiss this time. He connected our lips and we stayed that way until cheers broke us apart.

"See you tomorrow night!" He said with a wink and left with his friends. I looked at Alana with a smile on my face. She hugged me and left to go to her next class.

HALLOWEEN NIGHT

"Omg! You look so good!" Alana screamed once she finished my makeup. I laughed and started to curl my hair while she pulled out her zombie bride costume. I already know that it's going to take her a least an hour to do all that makeup.

Once preparations were all done, we met up with Mark and Nick. We had planned on going around the entire neighborhood and brought huge pillow cases to put the candy in. Yes, we're in high school. And yes we still do trick-or-treating.

"Uh Nick, who is this? I thought we were going with Mark?" I asked. I literally had no clue who was under the werewolf costume. That was until I heard an exasperated sigh from under the mask and laughter from Nick.

"That is Mark!" He said laughing even more.

"Oh. Sorry...." I said while looking down at the ground.

"Come on! We're wasting time!" Mark shouted and ran to the first house. We all followed and rang the doorbell. Once the door opened, we had second thoughts about this place. The inside was decorated like an old 1950's house and there was a gigantic painting of a creepy child over the fireplace. The door revealed an elderly man with a cold face.

"Aren't you guys a bit too old for this ?" He said in an icy tone.

"Um- uh. We still enjoy it though. Do you have anything for us?" I said timidly. I tried to hide behind Mark but he pulled me out into the open.

"Oh well. I guess so" he said before giving us candy. We turned to go to the next house when something moved in the street. Which was odd because we were the only ones there at the time. Or so I had thought...

"Hey Alana?" She hummed and looked at me. I pointed to where I saw the figure move.

"Did you see that?" She looked confused and shook her head.

"Oh. Never mind then." But I still saw it. It looked like a......girl? She was in a blue short dress and her hair was curled into pig tails. She was following us, I realized. But not directly. She always stayed at least three houses away. But I felt like I was going crazy when I saw that she disappeared underneath roofs and trees. But as soon as she moved away from the cover, her body reappeared.
