"Alright Lauren! I've got to go now. Good luck making dinner!" Casey said from the skype call. Lauren smiled and returned the sign language.
Thanks I'll try! Goodbye! Casey laughed before ending the call. Lauren was a deaf author that was currently working on a story that she knew would be good. Yes it was probably better for a deaf person to not live in a house surrounded by trees with almost nobody around, but she liked the seclusion. It helped her focus. Of course, she wasn't completely vulnerable, she had a fighting power and a high tech security system. It was an alarm that blared so loudly, it would hurt the ears of the intruder but it was loud enough for Lauren to hear it.
It was later that night while she was working on her story when there was tapping on the window. But obviously she didn't hear it. The intruder knocked harder and harder until he almost shattered the door.
"Hey! Open up! Can't you hear me?! What the fuck?!" No answer came. Deciding he had enough, the intruder opened the door and walked in. He went closer to Lauren and tapped her shoulder. She whipped her head around covered her mouth. Probably because there was a freaking murderer holding a knife with a sadistic smile! Just a guess though.
He walked closer and sat down next her, grabbing her arm before she could call the police. The murderer held the knife up and to Lauren's horror, it was dripping with blood. She started to scream silently. Tears prickled down her cheeks and she hit and slapped him as hard as she could, hoping for him to release her.
No such luck
He held her tighter and threw her underneath him on the couch. Her eyes were filled with many things as she stared at the nearing blade.
Hopelessness, sadness, anger, tiredness. Just to name a few
She moved her mouth soundlessly but still getting the message across.

MURDER OF A DEAF GIRL TO BE INVESTIGATED
Lauren Benette was supposedly writing her novel which she had been writing for the past two months when the intruder entered the house. The only thing we found at the crime scene was her dead body and a bloody knife. Also present was her open laptop which was showing her current draft of the story. The last words of the draft were revealed as;

I know this is a late update and I'm sorry. I have been very busy with family and vacation and such but enough with the excuses!
Fun fact: this is based on a movie called "Hush" and it's really good! I highly recommend it to you. But warning; it is very gory. Not for the lighthearted at all! But it's a little something to make you gasp at night. I did change the ending slightly so if you did want to watch it, it wouldn't be ruined. Anyways~
