Chapter 6: Sacrifice

"You idiot!"

Matsu winced as Yamada examined her wound while angry.

Inoo looked at her with her sympathy but Yamada had every right to be angry.

"I told you specifically not to go without me but no!" He continued scolding as he took cleaned her wound.

"Be a little gentle." Matsu sounded glum.

"Deal with it" Yamada was really pissed.

But he did become more gentle as he softly padded her wound.

"You will need stiches Matsu." He said grumpily.

His heart as still thundering. He had heard her scream when he had neared the house.

He rushed in to see her on the ground, clutching a bleeding hand and a man towering over her ready to stab her.

"I didn't expect I would be attacked." Matsu whinned breaking his thoughts.

"That's your mistake Matsu-chan. Since we established that someone else murdered Harada-san, they are bound to be still on the prowl." Inoo said kindly.

"Okay." Matsu pouted.

Yamada straightened.

"And...What did you find?" Yamada sat on the chair.

After saving her, he had called the local police and took her back to the MPD.

As for the attacker, Arioka and Takaki were busy interogatting him.

"This." Matsu took out the photos from her bag.

Yamada took them and flipped. His face darkened.

Inoo watched curiously and he also went red with fury.

Matsu knew why. They photos of a clear cut gang rape of a high school girl.

Harada had kept them hidden. On the back of the photo, she had written the details of the rape, the victim's name and address.

They were horrible.

"I see Harada-san and Aigawa-san in the picture. They were reflected on the window with the flash." Inoo grimaced.

"I will ask Yuto to enhance them better." Yamada grimaced.

There were still such horrible people in this world.

"Actually Yamada-san...." Matsu sounded timid.

Yamada sighed.

"What is it?"

"I... I wanted you to take a look." Matsu pointed at one photo.

Yamada and Inoo's eyea widened. This narrowed down the culprit.

Matsu suddenly winced as tears prickled. Her wound really hurt.

"I am calling Yabu. You will need stitches and Matsu, from now on, you will be under my eye. I can't afford you having another injury." Yamada said gruffly as he left.

Matsu stuck her tongue out and looked away.

A smiled formed on her lips as she gently touched her bandaged arm.

He was caring as ever.

"I did not kill Harada okay. I just wanted those photos. I am a journalist. I was planning to get a certain news on her and expose her." The man insisted.

"Look Sawada Keisuke, you have a charge already for attacking one of our members. Just be honest " Takaki grimaced.

"I was trying to scare her okay! I was shocked when she got cut by me. I was shocked...I did even realize that I was holding the knife up till your boss knocked me out." He pleaded.
