Chapter 2: Evidence
"Why are you coming with me?" Matsu pouted.
"I don't trust kids!" Yamada commented.
She flaired.
"Stop calling me a kid!" She huffed.
He just smirked and parked the car. They entered the crime scene.
Matsu bent on her knee as though sniffing.
"It is weird." She commented.
"What do you mean?" Yamada asked as he leaned against the door.
"I mean...when people hang themselves or are hung by someone...It normal for them to have urinary and stool incontinence but...Out here...The wet patch has expanded way too much. and considering the fact, most of the urine was absorbed by his pants...so we assume the trickling...The bottom of the shoes should have also had some stains...But it was clean." Matsu explained.
"Interesting. Anything else." Yamada smiled impressed.
She sat on her knees and looked at him.
"The front of his shoes were ruined. It was weird... because only the sides should have been affected by the water content of the urine but rhe entire front of his leather shoes are ruined and the inside of his feet seems to have frostbite.... They were blue which does not make sense." She rubbed her eyes.
His eyew widened. Was it possible. It made sense. That means her alibi did not stand valid.
"Hey...what's this?" Matsu pulled out a book.
"Idiot!" Yamada rushed.
Matsu did not even have time to blink, Yamada pulled her down and covered her.
The numerous dull sound of hitting scared here.
She looked around. She was pressed against the bookshelf. Yamada's hands held her head to his chest while he covered her from the falling books.
He pulled away. Matsu bit her lip.
"Dont you look before doing something? That was most likely a false book." He grunted.
"You noticed?" She asked in a small voice.
Her voice sounded sombre.
"When I entered but I didn't mention because I am not sure if it is related to the case, after all...This seemed more like a crime of passion than motive." He explained and looked up.
"What's this?" He stood up when he felt a tug at the seam of his shirt.
Matsu's eyes were hidden by her bangs.
"I am.. I am sorry.... You..Got hurt." She mumbled.
"Dont bother. Its okay." He grunted as he looked at the safe he had noticed.
"Smart, he hid his things well. No one would think to look at a bookshelf afterall." Matsu was sarcastic.
"No. He was smart. Because it is an obvious place, People wont look too close like you did. I give you credit for that." Yamada glanced at the safety box as Matsu attempted the pin and typed.
×Beep×
"Wrong code...." Yamada pondered.
He suddenly typed.
*Blink*
The door opened.
"What did you type?" She asked surprised.
"His three sizes. It seems that was his password. 90-70-90" Yamada smirked.
"What a self obsessed bastard." Matsu commented.
