What are Friends for?

Chapter 2

I turned around to find Justin holding my wrist and smiling at me, oh my god that smile!

"hey" he says still holding my wrist.

"hi Justin" i say smiling back at him trying to stay cool but felt like i was failing miserably. i could see Shyane smirking at us from behind Justin, he lets go of my wrist and looks down almost nervous like.

"need any help with anything?" he asks following me into the kitchen.

"i don't th-" i was cut of by luna coming towards us with a small list

"actually! here i need you two to go to the basement and get this stuff for me please?" luna asked although Justin probably actually thought she really needed half this stuff but i knew she was just trying to get us alone.

"ok..." i say as I'm scanning over her list while she's trying to push justin and i downstairs. hmmm baking soda, baking soda... aha! found it, i grabbed it and started looking for the next item

"so, how have you been?" Justin asked trying to make conversation

"I've been good, just... busy i guess. What about you?" i ask back still searching for... onions?

"found them" justin grabs the onions and continues making conversation and looking at the list in my hands

"that's good" he replys calmly looking over my shoulder at the list.

"so looked like Shyane and Jacob were hitting it off quite well" Justin stated after a few moments of silence and I'm glad he's trying to make conversation since if you hadn't realized I'm terrible at talking to others outside my little circle of friends.

"ohhh yeah, what about Daniel and Luna though?" i chuckled lightly to myself remembering all the times Shyane and i would say they had a thing for each other but they were both in denial of it which was so obvious they were lying because they are so adorable together.

"yeah, so nicole can i ask you something?" he suddenly became nervous and shy, it was so cute

"sure" i gave him a reassuring smile and he took a deep breath

"would you...like to go out with me sometime?" he asked hopefully and you could tell he was really nervous, i let it sink in for a moment before reality hit and i realized what he had asked, at first i thought i was dreaming but then he started to get a worried look on his face.

"i-if you don't w-want to that's fine i was ju-" i cut him of by softly giggling.

"justin, id love to" i said quietly but loud enough for him to hear. as soon as i said that his face lit up then we finished looking for whatever the hell luna put on this list then we walked back upstairs to find Shyane getting a water bottle out of the fridge and some popcorn ready.

"what's going on? where is everyone?" i asked her curiously

"oh we are about to watch some scary movies, you guys gonna join?" she asked and my face instintly lit up at the words scary movies. ok i may not be a huge fan of movies but when it comes to scary movies im ready to watch just about anything.

"I'm in" i smile at Shyane and look back at Justin

"what about you Justin?" i ask secretly hoping he says yes but I'm sure to Shyane it ain't no secret.

"sounds good" he simply says and smiles towards me then we talk to Shyane and wait for the popcorn to finish up then head to the living room for some scary movies mwahahaha!
