Midnight Game [EDITING]

one - let the games begin

*flashback to three days prior*

The seven boys laugh in unison as they use towels to wipe the sweat off of their drenched foreheads. They had just finished filming a Halloween-themed dance practice video for their song, "War of Hormone". They all crammed through the entrance of their resting room and began to change into their regular clothes.

"We couldn't be scary even if we tried", Namjoon laughed.

"I don't know, Jungkook actually looks pretty creepy..." Hoseok stated under his breath, chuckling nervously when suddenly the grim reaper dressed maknae jumped towards him. Hoseok screamed and fell backwards.

"JUNGKOOK!" The rest of the members began laughing non-stop, holding their stomachs as they did so.

"You get scared so easily it's ridiculous," Taehyung shook his head, still laughing, earning a playful nudge from Hoseok.

The boys proceeded to get dressed, opening their designated closets for fresh clothes when Jin noticed a box at the top of the shelf that he didn't remember seeing earlier. "Hey, did one of you guys put a box in my closet earlier?" Jin questioned, pulling out the mysterious object.

"Jin, we were with you filming just now, don't you think you would know if we left to put a box in there?" Yoongi sarcastically noted.

"But no one else is allowed in here besides us, pabo." The oldest hyung placed the box down and wiped the dust off the top of it. "The Midnight Game?"

The rest of the members suddenly grew interest in the box and huddled around it. "I've heard of it. It's based on some old Pagan myth about some guy called the Midnight Man. It's probably just a hoax. But either way, I suggest we don't play, just look at the warning." The warning stated this:

PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

They all nodded at Jimin. "L-Let's just toss it", Hoseok stuttered and they all had to hold in their laughter at his paranoia. "Sure, it sounds dumb anyways," Jungkook added and the rest seemed to agree.

"I'll hold onto it and throw it out at home. Are you guys all still coming to the party Friday?" Jin put the box back on the shelf and stared at it for a bit in some sort of fascination for the game he found, but quickly came back to reality and closed the closet doors. The boys cheered in excitement. "Wouldn't miss it!"

Jin grinned widely. Perfect.

After finishing up getting dressed, the boys exited one by one, and Jin, the last to leave, grabbed the game again from his closet, rushing home.

*end of flashback*

present day, Jin's house on October 31st at 8:00 p.m.

Jin finished up setting out all of the cups and snacks, plugging in his speakers and setting up his phone in the docking station. It would be any minute now until people would start arriving.

It was senior year and Jin was planning on having the most epic Halloween party; he invited the entire class to come over and join. People were bringing kegs to set out and Jin had the perfect plan to make it the scariest Halloween party anyone has ever been to. He thought to himself and smiled as he brought the game he found a few days before into his room for safe keeping. Walking back down the steps, a knock was heard as the first few guests arrived.

Jin reached for the door knob eagerly and, as expected, the first to come were Jin's six favorite dongsaengs; Jungkook, Taehyung, Jimin, Hoseok, Namjoon, and Yoongi. Before being able to greet the rowdy boys, they ran into the house. "Time to turn up!" Taehyung shouts and the rest of them yell in agreement. "Turn on the music, Jin!" Jimin points to the docking station, plopping himself on the couch and reaching for a beer bottle from the mini fridge before popping off the cap.
