Lily's POV

I arrived at Sydney airport at 8 am. Lissa (my mom's friend) was waiting for me. I was a little bit nervous but I'll be fine. I just didn't like interacting with people. Yeah, I'm weird. But no one cares, especially not me.

Lissa talk to me the whole time on the way to the house, and it was quite strange. But I guess I'll get use to it.

An hour later, we arrived to her fabulous house. It was a big two story house and I could easily guess a swimming pool behind the closed garden.

"Ok, so we're 500 meters away from the beach. You can go there whenever you want to, you'll just have to tell me." Lissa told me.

"Thank you so much for everything you're doing for me."

"No problem love. I've known your mom for almost 25 years now and I can do that for her. Plus you seem like a very nice kid so I'm sure everything will be fine." She said with a reassuring smile. I'm not sure I'm a nice kid but I know I can make everything work.

"When do I need to leave ?" I asked suddenly remembering France.

"Well, you can stay till the end of your summer if you want, but I can also ask to my daughter's teacher to take you in her class for a bit if you want." I just smiled even wider. If I could stay for a bit longer, it would be amazing.

"Oh my god. Thank you so much. It would be awesome." I said slightly hugging her.

"No problem love. Let me show you your room." We entered the house and the smell of baking cookies was distracting me.

The house was nicely decorated, all the walls white with black and blue furniture. She showed me the way up the stairs, then at the end of the corridor, where my room was. She explained to me that her room was at the opposite end of the corridor and then showed me two doors, facing the stairs, her daughters rooms. I gasped as I opened the door to mine. The room was bigger than mine back in France, a huge king sized bed in the middle. The room was modern and I could see a small balcony through giant glass windows. In the left side of the room, there were two doors, one leading to the bathroom and another one leading to a cute walk-in closet. The bathroom's walls were white with black tiles on the floor, a nice bath on one side and a window, view on the sea, on the other side. In the middle, a sink and toilet opposite it.

O.M.G !

After unpacking everything, I walked back downstairs where Lissa was with two girls, one looking my age and the other one, looking maybe 3-4 years younger.

"Dear, let me introduce you my daughters, Katie and Doria." Katie was the one as old as me and Doria the younger one. Katie had light brown hair and deep grey eyes, she was beautiful. Katie was really cute. She had blond hair and bright blue eyes.

"I'm gonna make my homework mom. Nice meeting you Lily." Doria said going upstairs, I guess to her room.

"Homework ?" I asked not understanding.

"Yeah Doria just came back from school. They're in holidays only in a month." Lissa explained, seeing my confused expression.

"Oh ok. Uhm I wanted to ask, can I go to the beach ?"

"Yeah of course. Maybe Katie could show you the nice places around the city if you want." Lissa proposed.

"Mom, I'll tour around Sydney for her tomorrow because, remember, I have my class party, for the goodbyes to miss smith." Katie said.

"Who's miss smith ?" Lissa asked

"My science teacher."

"Oh yeah, I remember now." Katie rolled her eyes playfully.

"It's alright. I can go by myself, I'll be fine don't worry." I said to Lissa. I really wanted to go outside right now. I just needed to be alone.

"Yeah sure. Just be careful when you cross the road." Lissa said smiling.

"Thank you. I'll be back probably in 2 hours." I said going at the door.

"No problem. Just text me if you have a problem."

"Sure. Bye."

I stepped outside and took out my phone. I search the way to the beach and after 5 minutes, I was walking on the hot sand. I was hungry so I bought an ice cream. After finishing it, I sat in front of the beach, just staring at the water.

I'm a mess. I really am. I know what I did a few years ago was bad but I still can change. Well I hope I still can. I have done many bad stuff in the past. I still do today but less than before. I can use the time here to think about everything. Maybe I could find myself. I could maybe even find my answers to all of those questions in my head.

I was deep in my thoughts and, suddenly, something hit me.
