Shion tossed and turned in his bed. He did everything he could think of - warm milk, fluffing the pillows, reading a boring book - but no matter how hard he tried he just couldn't dispel his racing thoughts. Kiyoto had actually...kissed him. Shion went bright red at the memory, covering his face with a pillow and frantically rolling back and forth across his bed. When he had calmed down a little, he noticed that he felt oddly empty. He suddenly craved Kiyoto's presence, wanting for all the world to curl up with the kind person, feeling warm and secure as he was held to their chest. Just like the night they first met...from that second Shion had known he was in love with Kiyoto, even going as far as to suggest he become Kiyoto's property.

If only Shion didn't feel the need to do such things anymore. Why was he always wanting to be closer, both physically and emotionally? And that kiss...it was all Shion had ever dreamed and more. And now that Kiyoto was taking him to the zoo, it was getting harder and harder to tell himself that they weren't a couple. Shion heaved a big sigh, making his way up to the roof of the apartment complex he lived in. Why was he thinking like this anyways? Ever since he could walk Shion had never been so dependent on a single person. And the fact that this person made his thoughts race in such a way...it was all too weird. Shion knew that this must be love, but he just didn't know what to do about it. He didn't know if he really wanted to trust someone like this...

Shion lay out on the building's rooftop, basking in the moonlight and letting the cool breeze wash over him. He was almost about to drift off to sleep when he had an idea. He knew that it wouldn't be able to replace what he broke, but Shion got to work anyways. He raced back down to his apartment, sliding into his room and fetching all of the things he would need to make this. The project took him eight hours total to create and almost all of his best supplies, but once he was finally finished, he couldn't stop smiling. He went to bed with a happy grin on his face, and had a peaceful sleep.

As soon as Shion woke up, he was a flurry of movement. Taking at least three showers, brushing his teeth a seemingly infinite amount of times, acting out his romantic fantasies, and practically tearing through his entire wardrobe - trying on almost all of the million different combinations. He was about halfway through trying on everything he could find when his phone suddenly beeped, giving him the five minute warning before he was due to meet up with Kiyoto. Only five more minutes. And the walk to the zoo took at least ten! Shion gave himself a mental scolding. He had done it again - getting all worked up over his appearance for some random guy when he knew that Kiyoto liked him just the way he was. But...maybe Shion wanted more than for Kiyoto to just like him. Shion shook his head, deciding on a white shirt, a loose black vest, and tan khaki shorts. He grabbed a black beanie, hiding his ears and completing the look, and jumped out the window. He fell the three stories from his apartment, using the various balconies and street lamps to slow his descent. He landed on his feet, somersaulting forward to ease the momentum, and shot off like a bullet towards the backstreet alleyways. Shion jumped over trashcans and practically flew through the air, vaulting himself up and forward with anything in sight until he finally made it to the park's entrance, taking a running leap up into Kiyoto's arms.

"Kiyoto!"

"Shion! You made it." Shion grinned like a fool, still held in the guy's arms. Kiyoto laughed at his expression. "Wanna go in?"

"Nah, I think I wanna stay like this just a little while longer." Shion burrowed his head into the crook of Kiyoto's muscled chest, purring as the guy stroked him on the head and held him closer. Shion had been craving to do this all night. He was perfectly content to just stay like that forever when, after some time, they were interrupted.

"Um, excuse me." Shion and Kiyoto both looked to see a park attendant approaching them. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but if you're not going to buy admittance then we'll need you to step away from the park's entrance please. You're blocking the way for some of the larger groups of customers."
