This chapter might have a few triggers for people.

Danielle shot a glare at Danny. "Shut the fuck up. You're not helping."

"Well what else can I do?" He protested.

"Okay okay," Frostbite said breaking up the bickering. He turned his gaze to Dani. "You do have the power, it's just hidden, but it is yours. Reach for it. Try visualizing it as something tangible."

"I'll try." She said, though she sounded deflated.

"You can do it." The halfa encouraged her.

She took another deep breath and closed her eyes. 'Visualize it...how the hell do I visualize what I can't see?' she thought frustrated. 'Well no one said this would be easy... deep breaths Dani, deep breaths.' She blanked out her mind and pictured herself floating in... well nothing. Then she imagined an orb of glowing blue light. 'There, that's my power... I think? What would ice powers even look like? I just pictured blue, because why the fuck not. Back to the main problem, focus...' She pictured herself pushing through the emptiness and reaching for the light. Her fingers closed around it, funny she thought it would be cold, it was, really cold but it seemed to have a tingle to it. 'Fuck me and my imagination.'

She opened her eyes and her eyes were shining a steady blue. "I-I th-think I g-got it." She said teeth chattering.

Her brother frowned, she was visibly shaking. "Dani are you okay?" he asked worriedly.

"F-fine. Just cold, like sk-skinny dipping in F-February cold." She answered.

"It's alright; it's just your core freezing over." The yeti explained as if it were common knowledge.

"M-my what?" "Her what?" The halfa's asked simultaneously.

The ice warrior didn't answer and instead put in ice shield in front of him and Danny. Ice built up inside her and exploded out. Much like the other halfa had done when he had been training, minus a frozen Frostbite. Said yeti let the shield drop and the halfa immediately rushed to his sister who was beaming brightly. By now a small crowd had already gathered outside of the arena and was now applauding.

"How did you do that!?" he exclaimed giving her a tight hug.

She hugged back and shrugged. "I don't know I just thought 'Wow, I'm cold. I gotta let this out.' so I did."

The yeti ghost nodded impressed. "Great job Danielle, I believe that the fact that you were born with ghost powers makes it easier for you to channel and control them." Danny had been thinking the exact same thing.

"So what's next?" She asked jumping up and down eagerly.

"To be honest I didn't think we would get past the first step so quickly. Well now you could practice ice shots or forming ice." Frostbite said

"Danny was showing me how to make ectoplasm into shapes last week; he said that ice was easier to control than ectoplasm, so I guess I'll start by learning how to form ice first and then move onto ice shots." She said happily.

The yeti raised an eyebrow at the older halfa who simply shrugged. "Hey what else was I supposed to do? You try saying no to her puppy dog eyes."

The other laughed and turned back to Dani. "Okay, well show me what you can do. Don't expect it to be easy though." He made an ice sculpture of some kind of monster as a demonstration.

She nodded and made a sword out of ice almost effortlessly, hefted it in both hands checking the weight and size of the thing and sliced through the monster figure. For a few moments, neither Danny, Frostbite nor the crowd said anything; she shifted in her place slightly waiting for praise.
