☆Lies☆

Keith lied to me. I don't know why, but Keith lied to me. Y'know, I never liked lying, and I only ever did it if it was absolutely necessary.

What did Keith lie about? Well, he told me that he was my friend, that he could never hate me, that nothing could ever tear us apart. But when the smallest inconvenience in our friendship came, he ditched me.

I have two actual, loyal friends. That's Pidge and Hunk, and they said that they wouldn't hang out with Keith anymore. But I didn't want to be the one to ruin the relationship between them. They would still avoid him, anyway.

Keith claims not to know what he did. But it's obvious, he looks left and his ears turn red. He's an awful liar.

Keith promised that he would never, ever talk behind my back. He promised he would be on my side. But you know what he did? He told the whole grade of my dilemma at home, me not being the richest, me being depressed, self conscious, suicidal.

And you know what they did? They laughed. The accused me of fishing for attention. They've got it in their heads that I'm some dick narcissist who doesn't know that there's bad in the world. Kids are the worst.

"Hunk, I just don't know why he'd say that! I mean, I've never done anything wrong to him! Right?" I moved my hand to emphasize my words.

Hunk was making dinner as Pidge dug glass out of my arm. My mom came home drunk again, so I snuck out to Pidge's place. Her parents dont care that I stay over.

"I know, buddy. But who knows, maybe he got involved with the wrong crowd. Why don't you talk to him? Just text him or something." Hunk was pulling a colander from the cabinet to drain the water from the spaghetti.

Pidge pushed her glasses up before they fell off, looking to me as she finished her work.

"I dunno, why don't we ask Matt?"

Fortunately, Matt has amazing timing. "Ask Matt what?" He pulled a strand of spaghetti from the colander, earning a small smack from Hunk.

"Do you have any idea why Keith might've told the entire grade about Lance being abused, depressed, and suicidal?" Pidge looked to her brother, taking the lollipop he had in his hand and sticking it in her mouth.

Matt put a hand on his chin before looking to me. "Shiro did say that Keith was acting strange, he didn't go into detail, though. I could call him of you'd like." I nodded.
