I fix my hair into a slick ponytail. Mom tells me that is how she won over Dad. "Well don't you look beautiful Chance." Dad says.

I was in my favorite dress and heels. "Thanks Daddy." I say as the doorbell rings. "Chance! Colin!" Mom says.

"Hey Tyshawn." I say. "Hi Chance. Mr. Kaepernick." He says.

"Tyshawn. Interesting name. Take care of my daughter. Love you baby girl." Dad says.

He opened the door to his beautiful BMW. I smell the leather in his seats. Top of the line everything. "Ready for the best date of your life Miss Kaepernick." He asks.

He turned on smooth Jazz. "You like jazz?" I ask him. "Of course. You princess?" He asks.

"Yeah. My mom always plays it around the house" I say.

We pulled up to Amber's. The best sushi place in the Bay.

"You're beautiful Miss Kapernick." He says.

"Thanks. And you really don't have to do this you know." I say as the waiter pours water in the wine glasses for us.

The night was beautiful. "You single Chance?" He asks.

"Yeah." I say.

""Maybe I can change that. Will you be my pretty little lady?" I ask.

"Yes. I will." I say.
