I sigh as I look at the posters for homecoming. I smile as I close my locker.

"Hey beautiful." Tyshawn says. I smile as I turn around to see him on one knee with a jewelry box. "Hey poo, what's all this?" I ask. "I know the last couple weeks haven't been the best for us but I want to escort the most beautiful girl in the world to homecoming." He says. I smile.

"You may." I say as he gets up and opens the jewelry box. Inside was pink diamond encrusted tennis bracelet and matching necklace with our initials. It must've cost him a fortune. "I had this made for you. I used most of my savings plus my Mom chipped in." He says.

"You didn't have to." I say with tears streaming down my face.

"I wanted to." He says. He puts the jewelry on me.

I went to dress shopping with my Mom. She's finally gotten better. "So how about this pink dress." She says while handing it to me. I smile since it's the same color as my bracelet and necklace.

Homecoming was here. I took deep breaths as Dad smiles. "Chance you're beautiful. Just like your mother." He says. "Thank you Daddy." I say. "Wait before you leave. Your father got you this." Mom says.

Inside were pink red bottoms. "Surprise baby girl." Dad says. I hug him. "Thank you! My first pair of red bottoms." I say as I put them on.

I heard the doorbell ring. Dad opened the door. Ty was in all white with a pink now tie. I smile. "Don't you two look cute." Mom says. "Colin you have anything to say to your daughter."

"Yes. Have fun and their is a surprise for you guys when you get there." Dad says.

As we got into the gym it was decorated in purple and white. Our school colors.
We were announced king and queen.

"Attention students. We have a special performance by August Alsina." Mr. Matthews says.

My mouth dropped. "Hey young people. This is a special performance for a friend's daughter. Miss Chance Kaepernick." He says.

The spotlight found me and Tyshawn. "Will you have this dance with me?" He asks.

I smile as I take his hand.

This moment is perfect since I have the best life. The best of everything and I love this moment forever and I will never chance it. I love being Chance Danielle Kaepernick.
