Chance's POV:
I leaned on the wooden wall and blew out another smoke. It was noon, I think. I don't know the exact time because I have turned off my phone.
I didn't want anyone to come and disturb me so I turned off my phone, and made few tricks so that they can't track me down.
That night I was too drunk and too angry so I went straight to my appartment and packed few things then I drove off.
I can't really remember how I drove here. I just woke up and I was in front of it.
Shouldn't have bought beer on my way to appartment.
I stood up and wiped my eyes. I have been crying a lot recently. But I wasn't feeling sad. I was hurt.
He let me down.
I wasn't that angry at him for breaking my trust. I was angry at myself for trusting him in the first place.
Suddenly I felt like crying again but I shook my head to stop tears from falling.
Why the hell am I so emotional?
I inhaled the cigarette for the last time befote throwing it down and crushing it with my leg.
Then I pick it up and threw out from the window. I moved over to the other side and collected empty cigarette pockets and beer botles.
"Aren't you afraid that you would make forest fire?" I turned around and looked at the stairs. It was Mason with my cigarette in his hand.
I shook my head and he chuckled. He threw it to the plastic bag where I have put all of the trash.
"So how did you find me?" I asked curiously. He sat near me. "Your necklace. I got its code from Ethan. Not a good idea to live in a tree house at this time of year though. " He said and as on que wind came from the other side.
I chuckled lightly. "Clever move. I totally forgot about the necklace. Should have blocked it too" I said and Mason smirked.
"Does others know about it. Or you are the only clever one?" I asked him. Mason shook his head. "I only remembered it this morning and as soon as it was ready I came here." I nodded at him and looked to the forest.
"We are worried about you. You better come back before Max freaks out." He said and I chuckled at that.
He then told me about listening bug and how Tony thought Peter was the one who did this.
"And everything happened in this 2 days that I wasn't around?" I asked with disbelief.
Mason chuckled. "See this gang needs you. Without you who will kick Felix's ass?" He said ans I rolled my eyes.
"You are capable of doing so without me. Just find him and beat him." I moved my hands around.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to come back or not. I needed a break from everything, a brake from him.
"Come on Chance. Do you really want to back off now? Few more moves and we can finally learn his identity." He said.
He had a point though. I can't let my fucked up relationship stop me from leading the gang.
Mason looked at his watch as I stayed silent. "Think about it Chance, we can't do it without you. We need you. We need badass Rose to keep everything under control." He said and stood up.
I stood up to and hugged him. He hugged me back and pat my back. Just lile this without another word he climbed down the stairs and went to his car.
