Chance's POV:

Car was silently moving trough the busy streets of New York. I was looking out of the window while Felix was looking at me.

"Am I only here to satisfy your hormones or do you seriously want to talk with me?" I asked after I caught him looking at me .

"Oh, darling I can have anyone for that job. But I only can have you for this job." He smirked and waved at his driver to park.

We walked out of the car and I pulled up my hoodie to hide my face.

Felix put his sunglasses on even though it wasn't that sunny. "Lets head in here. It is usually quiet and not so crowdy. " Felix pointed to the random cafe.

I shrugged and walked behind him. We went to the corner far in the back.

"Cappuccino with vanilla right your favourite?" Felix asked as he went to stand on the line.

I nodded and he had this smirk plastered in his face. As like he was satisfied with the fact the he remembered it correctly.

It was weird actually. My worst enemy knows my favourite coffee.

He was quiet good person when he was acting like Peter.

Or at least he fooled me into believing that he was nice. I am more dissapointed in myself than I am in him. I always thought that I know everything one needs to know to survive in the streets.

But I was wrong. You can't know everything you need to know if you don't know what you need.

It is hard to get ready for fight if you don't know what to expect. But it is not impossible.

Felix placed my cup infront of me which made me snap out of my thoughts.

"So how are you? Was police to harsh with you?" He said with fake sympathy.

"I got this feeling like you informed police about the 'fire in the forest'." I put quotation marks with my hand.

"No me? How could I?" He kept on playing the fool. I rolled my eyes.

"Quit playing the victim. Police don't suddenly go and search forests for human ashes. " I said and took a sip from my drink.

He dropled his fake smile and said. "Ok you caught me. I did it to get some alone time with you. " He winked at the end.

I rolled my eyes once again. "Listen Felix if you don't have anything important to say I am leaving." I said and stood up.

He grabbed my arm to stop me. "Don't. I have something important to tell you." I looked at him and back at his arm which was holding my arm.

I shrugged his hand off of me and sat back at my place.

"Spill it out." I said and put my hands around my mug. It was still warm.

"Chance, how long have you been the important person in New York?" He asked

"The one that can scare others easily. The one that has the most of the power." He kept talking.

"I think for long enough to know that you can't trust everyone." I said.

He drank from his cup and continued his little speech.

"Great. But you are not who you think you are. You are not the strongest person around here. You have lost that reputation. So people are starting to question your leadership and want to take your place. They want to execute you, your highness." He said with fake british accent at the end.

I leaned back into the sofa and looked at him. "I already know that. Why do you telling me all of this anyways?" I asked him.

He chuckled. "Jeez, be patient. You are always rushing. " I ignored his comment and drank my coffee.

"As I was saying you are loosing your reputation. One day all of this low-rank gangs going to get to you. They will throw you from throne." He paused for dramatic effect.

Dramati psycopath.

"But you can prevent it from happening. When they come to execute you, with little help you will be the one to execute them. " Felix nodded towards me and brought his drink closer to his mouth.

"What do you think about it?" He drank his coffee.

"You come in to my story in that little help part?" I asked and he nodded with mischievous smile.

"Yep I am going to be your knight in shinning armor who will give you weapons and information." He said while moving his hands around.

"And after you punish the little gangs your repuration will be even better than it was before. Just imagine it."He said

"You won't only be the queen of New York. You will be the ultimate leader of the illegal world in whole state." He nearly whispered while leaning closer to me.

I moved away from him and made eye contact with him. "What would you get from it?" I asked the main thing that worried me.

"Well nothing special really. I think you already understood that to make this plan come true. You will need to give up few things. Your skills, your talent of tricking everyone into beliveing you- they haven't got enough room to explore. I can give you the space that you need." Felix said with sparks in his eyes.

"So-" I paused to drink my coffee. My throat was really dry. "So you want me to join you and your team of losers?" I said rather jokingly.

He chuckled. "You would be suprised when you see what this losers can do." He looked at his phone and then back at me.

"So what? Are you joining me and my team and be the leader of all or are you gonna fight me with your stupid gang?" Felix said.

You know his plan wasn't that bad after all.

Right when I was going to answer my phone ringed. I looked at it. It was Ace. I looked at Felix and back at my phone.

I silenced it and looked at Felix.

"I will think about it."
