Amari's pov~

I sat on my couch reading one of my favorite manga books. It was called Lovely Complex and I honestly could read it an never get tired of it. Anyway, I decided to take a little break from my whole medicine order since it was a lot of preparation that was needed.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

I continued to read before chuckling a little bit at one of the characters facial expressions. I had always wished I could make those faces since they truly express your emotion right then and there.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Who is out here this late at night? I thought to myself as I got up from my couch and walking over to the door. Once I opened my door, standing in front of me was Sasuke. I hadn't seen him in at least 2-3 weeks since I helped him out and he had suddenly just disappeared.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as he just looked at me before walking past me and into my home.

I closed my door before spinning around on my heels to give this intruder a piece of my mind. I went to open my mouth but he beat me to it.

"I need a place to stay and I-" He started his back still facing me but I cut him off.

"You just think I'm going to let someone I don't know into my house? Especially after they left without saying a thank you? I don't think so." I said folding my arms out of frustration.

"If you would have let me finish," He said turning around to face me. "I also picked this up as a thank you for patching me up. I was going to give them to you weeks ago but some things came up." He finished as he held up a small book for advanced medicine users.

I felt my face heat up for just going off at him and not giving him a chance to explain himself. I composed myself quickly as I took the book from him.

"Oh. Well your welcome, and I guess you can use the extra room I have." I said.

I opened the book and skimmed through it completely fascinated by the different techniques.

"So what's for dinner?" He asked breaking my concentration from the book and onto him.

I went to face him and out of instinct since I had 1 younger brother I smacked Sasuke.

Sasuke growled and rubbed his head before sitting at my table.

"That was for just barging into my home," I said as I set the book down and walked into my kitchen. "but I was going to make some miso soup." I said before starting the food.

45 minutes later

Sasuke's pov-

Amari tried to start a conversation with me while she prepared the food, but noticed real fast that I wasn't one to make small talk. I definitely didn't make small talk I with someone I didn't know. I sat at her dining table and started observing her cabin.

"I hope you like it." Amari said taking me out if my thoughts.

"Hn." I said before taking a bit.

Amari and I ate in complete silence which I liked. I also liked that she didn't ask any questions but just agreed. Once we finished she got up and took both of our dishes. When I told her I would do them she looked at me for a second before nodding her head.

"So you have manners do you?" She said breaking the silence.

"Hn. I wasn't raised like a wild Humal you would encounter in the woods you know. Just cause I'm part animal doesn't mean I act like one." I replied as I put the clean dishes down to dry.

"Mhmm, well follow me I'll show you to your room." Amari said as she walked to a door way and turned left.

I followed her taking in everything as we walked down the semi long hallway. Though in retrospect it was only like 2 feet away from her room. Amari stopped in front of a closed room door and opened it.

It was fairly simple in the decor department. There was only a bed, a small little desk, and a little tv that had obviously not been used.

"There is a bathroom over there and a small closet next to the desk. Al-"

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Amari and I both looked down the hallway as if we could see the front door.

"Shit..Sasuke hide in here and please don't come out." Amari said before shoving me into the guest room and closing the door.

Deciding to just leave it be I plopped onto the bed and fell asleep.

Amari's pov~

Oh who is it now!?

I thought to myself as I rushed to the door and opened it. Standing in front of me was Izumi and Shime.

"Hey guys, what are you guys doing out here so late? It's nearly 3 in the morning." I spoke as I let them in.

"Shime wanted to see how your medicine making was going and dragged me alone." Izumi said as he leaves against the door.

"I also thought that we could take some of your medicine off your hands so we have less to deliver tomorrow." Shime said as she smiled at me.

"Well I have 25 boxed made over there," I said pointing to my living room. "and I am almost done with collecting enough leaves to make some tea." I replied.

"You really move fast Amari. But I still think you should move back to civilization and meet some nice guys." Shime said as Izumi chuckled lightly in response.

"I'm alright where I am Shime. I like the peace and quiet. Plus I at least talk to you guys when you guys come by for my medicine or if we have to travel somewhere for a mission."

Shime nodded then said that she and Izumi should get going since we all need some rest before our 4 day journey.  Izumi was the first to say goodbye and left then Shime. I stayed in the doorway waving goodbye until the were out of sight.

I sighed in relief as I closed my door and locked it. I went and walked back to the guest room to apologize to Sasuke for pushing him but when I opened the door I saw him sleep on the bed.

He looked so cute with his tail wrapped around him and his ears folded back. It also looked like he was finally able to sleep in peace. I walked out of the room just to come back with a blanket. I placed it on him gently since it was starting to get colder before leaving the room.

Once I made into my room I took a quick shower, changed into my tank top, then went to bed.
