Amari's pov~

4 months after the war

I walked through the village admiring how happy everyone was now that the war between the humals was finally over. From what I heard the Snack clan surrendered after they started losing more troops than they wanted. I made my way back home as I carried my bags of groceries that I had bought for my dinner.

I decided to make some miso ramen with shrimp since I was wanting to try something different from what I usually ate. As I walked down the pathway the slight spring breeze kept me at peace. I really was hoping that Sasuke was alright since he still hadn't returned. Of course I was worried but all I could do was wait. As I got closer to home the wind started to pick up and I knew that there was going to be a thunder storm tonight. It was the rainy season I guess.

Have to get home now!

A few hours later

I sat on my couch reading one of my favorite books as it storm furiously outside. I had finished eating a while ago and decided to read so that I would be tired and just crash when I went to bed but for some reason a part of me wanted to stay up in case Sasuke returned.

I mean you would think that he would come by and say something or send some sing that he was alive. Then again the man was barely around so I knew not to keep my hope up. Anyway, I decided it was late enough and Insure was getting tired from reading the book. I got up from my couch and went to my room. I put my book on my night stand and turned off my room light. I got into bed and as soon as I closed my eyes I was fast asleep.

The next day

Third pov →

Amari woke up and stretched before going to do her usual daily routine. She took a quick shower, got dressed in her gardening clothes then went to eat some breakfast. Amari ate her bowl of ramen while reading the book Sasuke had given her. She had bought some of the seeds for the plants she was going to grow. Once she was done eating she headed out to her garden.

Amari watered all of her plants and made sure to pull up any weeds that she saw. The  she grabbed her shovel and went to find a spot to plant her 3 new herbs.

I bent down onto the ground and dug up 3 holes that were at least 6 inches deep into the dirt. I dropped a seed into each hole and covered it back up with dirt. I got back up and walked to get my watering can. Once I finished watering the plants, I went to trim some leaves off the others since I needed to make some more medicine for the hospitals in the different clan territories. They had run scarcely low after the war and needed to stalk up for the ninja who would come back injured from a mission.

Once I collected enough of the ingredients that I needed I turned around and made my way back to my back door. I was about half way there when I some rain drops fall on my face.  I rushed down my garden pathway, up the 5 steps, and into my house. I closed my door behind me and just when I hear my door click I hear a loud crack of thunder and the start of strong rain pouring. The wind blew harder than it did other nights and I hoped that my house would stay in tact.

I walked into my living room and set all my herd on my kitchen table. I went into my bed room and grabbed my supplies. As I did I heard my front door slam open with a big Bang! sound. I dropped what I had in my hand, and went to go close my door.

When I rushed back into my living room someone was casually standing in front of my doorway soaking wet.

"Sasuke!" I exclaimed as I rushed over to him.

"When did you...why were you in that storm!?" I exclaimed looking at him in pure shock.

"What are you making for dinner?"

I walked up to him and punched him as hard as I could in his chest. Sasuke touched his chest and let out a soft ouch before looking at me.

"I haven't seen you for 4 months and instead of saying "hey how you been?" or "long time no see." you ask what I'm making for dinner? Uchiha how arrogant can you get!?" I exclaimed my arms folded waiting for is answer.

"Did you miss me Amari?" The Uchiha asked as he stepped closer to me.

"No way would I miss such an arrogant humal. I most definitely didn't miss you." I said though I was looking at the floor and not his face.

"So if I told you that I missed you what would you say?" Sasuke asked as he lifted my chin so that I was looking at him.

"I would think you were joking since you don't show your true feelings." I said truthfully.

Even though he opened up to me months ago he only did rarely. He would mostly talk about the mission he was working but it wasn't in detail. So I never really know how is truly feeling or what he is thinking.

"I guess I'll just show you." He said moving closer to my face.

"Sasu-"

Before I could finish Sasuke pressed his lips onto mine. I froze for a split second before kissing him back. We kissed for what felt like forever before he pulled away to have our forehead ms touching.

"Uchiha what are you trying to say. I want to hear you say it." I said through my deep breaths.

"I missed you Amari and I love you." He said looking me straight in my eyes.

I felt tears threatening to fall and I was about to cry. Oh no I'm not that lovely dovey.

"I love you too Uchiha." I said peaking his lips.

I walked past him and went into my kitchen. Knowing he was hungry I cooked some miso soup and gave him a bowl. I ate some as well and we talked the whole time until we both finished our food. He got up and washed the dished then walked back over to me.

"Now it's time to make you mine." Sasuke said as he picked me up bridal style and made his way to my bed room.

"UCHIHA!" I exclaimed my face turning red as he closed my door behind him.

Let's just say I wasn't able to walk for a week after that.
