Amari's pov➳

I sat up quickly and instantly regretted it as a sharp pain shot through my body. I breathed heavily as the pain slowly went away. I look at my surroundings and realized that I was in my bedroom. Wondering how I got home when I last remember being held in a dungeon was beyond me. Anyway, I needed to get my medicine from my cabinet which would help me heal faster and I know it would hurt like hell once I moved.

I took a deep breath even though that even hurt and forced myself out of the bed. I stood up and took one step which caused me to yell out in pain. I fell onto the floor and I could feel tears threatening to leave my eyes which wasn't what I needed right now. I sat up just as I heard my bedroom door slam open. Startled at the sudden noise I looked up to see Sasuke standing in the doorway. He looked at me and without a word walked over to me and lifted me up.

I opened my mouth to speak, but Sasuke pulled out an aqua colored bottle and handed it to me. It was the medicine that I had trouble myself to get out of the bed to get. Grabbing the bottle from him I opened it and took 3 of the pills. In seconds the pain started to subside while I could feel the medicine working it's magic.

"Sasuke what are you...where did you-"

"I was in the kitchen cooking dinner when I heard you scream. I grabbed that bottle because you had been mumbling about in your sleep." He said giving me a look.

"Thanks...but how did I end up in my bedroom? I was I being held hostage in a dungeon and I was being tortured." I said though I didn't want to remember.

"You didn't come back after 3 days of when you were supposed to come back so I went to find you. Moments later I got a message from Kabuto and I went to get you. I had to fight him and of course I won." Sasuke said satisfied.

I looked at him for a few seconds trying to take in what he said. So he did come after me after all. I felt tears fall down my face and I wiped them away quickly hoping Sasuke hadn't noticed. Now I knew I would have to pay him back in someway. While I was deep in thought I felt two arms wrap around my body and lift me up bridal style.

"Sasuke what are you doing?" I asked confused and shocked.

"I'm taking you to the dinner table. You are hungry aren't you?" Sasuke said as he walked out of my room.

I felt my face start to warm up a bit and I tried to hide my face with my hair. I could feel him chuckle at my reaction. He put me down in the chair across from his before going into the kitchen.

I looked at him for a split second before taking a bit. To my shock the stew was more than delicious. My taste buds danced around happily as I ate more of the stew. We ate in silence which was pretty normal. What happened next caught me off guard.

"Amari, what really happened to your clan?" Sasuke asked out of no where.

"W-Why the sudden interest?" I asked looking at him as I nearly chocked on the food.

"Kabuto said you are really powerful which got me thinking about how all the times we talked you never shared much of your past with me." Sasuke said staring right into my eyes.

I stared back at him not sure on what I should say since Sasuke never seemed to care that I didn't share details of my past before now. What has gotten into him? I looked at Sasuke for a while longer while thinking my next word choice wisely.

"Well I don't really know much of my past since I had always blocked those memories. I do know that my clan was very powerful, because we held dragons and their strong power within us. My clan was always moving locations or using spells to keep our locations hidden from the clan who would hunt us for the dragons and their power. Anyway, as I told you my clan was killed and I was the only one able to escape because my parents left me with a master medical ninja." I said as I leaned against the chair and let out a sigh.

Without a word Sasuke got up and took our bowls into the kitchen. I stood up and tried to walk but my body was still weak from when I tried healing myself during the torture. I guess my medicine is taking longer to help me heal faster. I grabbed the chair so that I wouldn't fall this time and started taking deep breaths. I wasn't about to reply on Sasuke the whole time. I mean I specialize in medicine and healing...how can I not help myself.

"Maybe you should learn to let others help you."

I turned my head to see Sasuke looking at me from my kitchen.

"I can't depend on other people. They will always leave me in the end or they will get hurt." I said as I tried to move again.

Yeah I was definitely making my injuries worse.

"I won't leave you."

My eyes widened but before I could saying anything I started to feel sleepy. All I remember was falling into Sasuke's arms and passing out.
