the laws enforced by the sanctuary are very strict and accurate. and failure to abide these certain laws may cause one his/her hybrid.

there are a lot of venial laws that are enforced by the sanctuary such as: keeping one's hybrid hygienic and healthy; providing decent clothing and shelter, and etc. and failure to comply to this basic necessities could give you sanctions like payments and bills, though it could still be negotiated.

but there are also laws that are too important and far too significant that failure to comply to these laws may cause one his/her hybrid. it is to enforce harmony and serenity among both humans and hybrids alike. rules such as: thou shall never harm a hybrid in any way; or thou shall never commit hybrid prostitution– and in line with this, each owners are entitled to take care of only one hybrid.

a monthly house check up will be done to make sure the laws are abided, and the sanctuary expects owners to remain true and honest all the time. failure to comply to these laws are immediate withdrawal of their hybrids.

jungkook frowned as he listens to namjoon explain the rules and regulations that are enforced by the sanctuary. "– i told u this before, jungkook." he hears his brother says.

"y-you did?" jungkook raised a brow, unsure as he tries to remember the day namjoon gave him the so called hybrid talk. "when?"

"you knew about this, and you didn't tell me?" taehyung gasped, betrayal evident in his eyes. "jungkook, what the fuck?"

"i didn't!" jungkook argued. "i swear, tae. i didn't know."

namjoon could only roll his eyes, "during your birthday, jungkook" he says, making the frown on the younger's face grow deeper. "– you were hesitant to accept jimin that time, and you told me you didn't want him and that if i could just take care him, myself." his brother worded it very vulgar that it made jungkook gulp as he feels jimin still beside him.

he glanced down to the dog, only to have jimin already staring up at him with teary eyes. his heart constricting as he immediately hissed, reaching to pull the hybrid to his chest. "no, baby. don't cry." he whispers, glancing to the side to glare at namjoon who apologetically smiled. "– don't cry my little pumpkin. smile for kookie, please." he tells him.

jimin, even with tears pooling his eyes, looked up to his human and tried his best to give jungkook the sweetest smile he could muster. and in return, jungkook leaned down to plant a soft kiss on his lips, then to his nose and forehead. "come here," jungkook says, pulling the dog to his lap and back hugged him. "i like you now, and there's no changing that, okay?" he whispers.

the dog only nodded, resting his back against jungkook's chest who wrapped his arms firmly around jimin's small figure, massaging his ears slightly, making jimin purr under his touch.

"o...kay," namjoon bit his lip. "anyways, how could you not know that rule? you've been a hybrid owner for so long. it's the sanctuary's most absolute law." he added, this time, gaze directed to taehyung.

taehyung sheepishly bit his lip, his hand massaging his nape as he looks away, "i never....really read the contract." he admits, earning a face palm from namjoon. "i just saw yoongi and i immediately wanted to have him. so i just signed the papers carelessly, i didn't know it was that important."

"– it's hella important!" namjoon frustratedly sighs, "rules aren't void in the sanctuary's mind. they value their hybrids and rules more than anything."
