Day 6

3 days left until christmas and I finally bought a present for my dad. It's nothing special, really. Just like I planned before, I got him a book, but even it was quite challenging to go to the book store.

As always, I asked my mom if I could go to the book store, of course, she said yes, but when I was about to go, she said, "why don't you ask Ryder to go with you? You guys are in the same age." ugh, I expected that from my mom.

Simply, she wants me to 'socialize' but no mom, that's not my thing. I'm done trying to fit in.

I told her that I wasn't sure about that because we don't know each other and it would be weird if I asked him to go out with me all of a sudden.

But you know what she said? She began to tell me her story when she was in highschool, she said that she always pretended like she knew that person and that's how she got a lot of friends.

I really wanted to tell her that it didn't work out in my life though, but I know she's not going believe me, she'll just tell me that I didn't want to try.

So that's why, I asked Ryder if he wanted to go to the book store with me and he said that it's not his thing to go to the book store, I believe he also said something like, "I'm not a nerd." what a jerk, but part of me felt relieved when he said that, because I know that we don't have to go there together.

But then, his mom showed up out of nowhere and forced him to go with me, saying something like "he's lying, he loves reading books."

And that's how I ended up going to the book store with him.
