My alarm goes off and I slam my hand on the clock to see that it's 6 in the morning. I hear a knock on the door and Martha comes into the room.

"Good Morning deary. How was your sleep?" She opens the curtains and a bright ray of sunlight illuminates the room. I squint my eyes, "It was nice." "Oh that's good! Well here is your clothes you will be wearing today," she places them on the bed. "Please wash up and be down stairs for breakfast," she smiles and leaves.

I get out of bed and go to the bathroom next to the walk in closet. There is a bathtub and a stand up shower. It's quite big. I look at myself in the mirror and I still can't get over seeing my reflection. It seems so surreal to see myself.

I brush my teeth and tie my hair into a ponytail. I also put on the clothes Martha left for me. It was a white sports bra, a black tank top and black leggings that reached to my knees. I put on some black shoes and walk out my room as Sylvia comes out the same time.

"Good morning Ophelia!" She says energetically. "Good morning." I notice she is wearing the something as me. "Oh look we are twinsies!" She grabs my hand and we walk down to eat breakfast.

As we finished eating Sylvia kept staring at me. "Is there something on my face?" I ask her. "No, its just that your very pretty," she is still staring at me. "Ummm, thanks." I get up and start to head to where we are told to go for training.

"So tell me a little about yourself," Sylvia catches up and says while walking beside me. "Why should I?" I stop and look at her. I noticed that I was really tall because I kind of towered over her. I wonder how tall she was? "Well since we are friends it would be nice to get to know each other," she smiles.

This girl has to be kidding.

I start to walk again. "Fine I will start," she says and catches up to me again. "I live with my mother and father, I am the only child. What about you?" She looks at me. I sigh, "I only live with my mother and it's just me." "Oh, well that wasn't bad, right?" She nudges my arm.

We reach the place where we need to train. We can do whatever we want in order to help us. I plan to not do anything.

Why should I train when the other girls can see my strength?

"So what should we do? Push ups? Weight lifting?" Sylvia says while jumping up and down. "I am not gonna do anything?" I say and sit down. "What? Why not?" I don't reply to Sylvia and ignore her. She sits right next to me and she doesn't say anything after that. She just watches the other girls train.

I notice a girl with black hair and green eyes staring at me the whole time.

Sylvia was getting bored so she started lifting 50 pound weights. I still sat and did nothing.

The girl that kept staring at me finally came up to me. "Hey why aren't you doing anything? Do you wanna die?" She yells at me. I stand up, "Why should I be doing anything?" "Don't you want to survive?" She shouts and Sylvia along with all the other girls stop what they are doing.

"I do want to survive, but I don't feel the need to do anything." I notice that she is getting pissed. "Go on and die for all you want. All of us here will kick your ass and survive without you," she hisses while looking at me then at Sylvia and walks away. Everyone goes back to what they were doing.

As our time to train ends, Sylvia and I walk back to our rooms to wash up for dinner. After changing into a blue blouse and black pants with black flats, I head to the dining hall. I sit next to Sylvia again. For dinner this time it's chili and cornbread.

I start to eat and Sylvia is shoving the food in her mouth like the night before. The girls all look at her especially the black hair and green eye girl. I just chuckle and Sylvia starts to laugh.

After dinner we all go back to our rooms. As I open my door Sylvia asks me a question, "Can I come inside your room to talk?" "Sure," I answer hesitantly and let her in. "Wow it's big like mine, but you have this amazing view. Lucky," she hops on my bed and pats it for me to sit by her. I follow her command and sit next to her.

"I hate that girl with the black hair and green eyes. You didn't even do anything to her and she starts to make a huge fuss about nothing. Very immature." She crosses her arms on her chest and huffs. I start to laugh. "What's so funny?" She says with a worried look on her face. "Who would have thought that you would get mad," I continue laughing. "Well I do get mad and since she got mad at my friend, I don't like her," Sylvia huffs again. I stop laughing. This girl really thinks of me as her friend.

Sylvia yawns, "Can I sleep here?" "No," I get off the bed and open my door so she can leave. "Awwwww," she pouts and gets off my bed. She walks out, "Goodnight Ophelia." "Goodnight Sylvia." She goes to her room and I close my door.

....................................................................................

It was the last day before the big battle. Martha told me that we could do whatever we wanted as long as we stayed in this part of the castle. I only stayed in my room half of the time drawing on some paper that I asked Martha to get for me.

I heard a knock on the door and I told them to come in. It was Sylvia. "Ophelia I am so bored. You didn't even come out of your room the entire day. Martha told me you came down for dinner a little earlier. I waited to eat dinner with you, but you weren't there. I was the last one to eat," she complains and I laugh. "It's not funny, I was hungry and the least you could of done was tell me you ate earlier." She sits on my bed. "I am sorry," I apologize and continued drawing. She walks over to me.

"You draw really nice." she picks up the sketches that I previously drew. "Thanks." I look at the wolf I am currently drawing. "How did you learn to draw?" She walks to my window and looks outside. "My mother taught me how, she is way better than me, but she always told me that I had a mind of an artist," I smiled.

"I miss my parents," I look at Sylvia and a tear falls from her cheek. "What's wrong?" I say while getting worried.

She is still gazing out the window, "My mother told me when I was young that everything in life would just be fine if I only smiled." She turned to look at me and tears were still falling, "Will everything really be okay tomorrow Ophelia?" I go up to her and I hug her, "Everything will be okay, I promise. I will be there." She cries into my shoulder and I pat her back.

I hope everything will be okay.

I look out the window to see the full moon and think about what is to happen tomorrow.

Death or survival.
