Rowan P.O.V

I went to the dining hall to drink some tea. It was still night and I figured since all the guys were asleep they wouldn't bother me while I drank peacefully. A maid prepared the tea for me and I sat at the table to drink it.

I heard someone walking to the dining hall, who could possibly be up at this hour? When I turned to see the person, it was Ophelia.

"I am sorry did I disturb you? I will leave," she says. "No your fine, I was drinking tea. Please take a seat," I offer.

She sits and asks a maid to make her a cup of tea too.

"So what brings you here?" I question. "I couldn't sleep, you?" She sips her tea. "Same," I answer.

We sit in silence for a bit.

"Your uncle is the king. So that makes you and prince Maximus cousins." "Yes, my father and uncle are brothers," I sip my tea.

She stares at her cup, "Do you know what happened to the other girls?"

I don't know if I am suppose to tell her, but if she is going to be apart of the council she should know.

"My uncle sent them back home to their packs. It wouldn't be fair if there was only a special offer for you so he thought that would be the best decision," I tell her.

She was still looking at her cup, but I knew that something was bothering her. As I just looked at her I admired her platinum blonde hair, icy blue eyes, and pale skin.

She was beautiful.

Who would have thought that she was a hybrid. She caught me looking at her and I quickly shifted my gaze into my cup. I felt my cheeks flush a little.

"Rowan did you ever think about leaving the castle?" She questions me. I never did have a thought about that until she asked. "No I haven't, but I would like to venture out someday instead of staying here all my life," I reply. "I see." She finishes her tea.

"Goodnight Rowan." She pushes in her chair, gives the cup to a maid, and walks out the dining hall.

I sat at the table for a bit thinking about her question. I took an interest in her. I wanted to know more about her.

It was the next day and I ran out of my room because I heard my uncle yelling. They were in Ophelia's room.

"Where did she go?" Uncle Aspen yelled. "Your majesty she was here yesterday," Malik says. "Then where is she?" He clenches his fists.

I have never seen my uncle mad like this before.

I had to say something before the situation gets worst.

"I was with her last night. I was drinking some tea in the dining hall and she came to drink too. That was the last time I saw her," I explain. "Did she say anything about leaving?" My father asks me. "No," I answer.

I remembered our conversation. She did ask if I would ever leave the castle.

Maybe she was planning her escape.
