Jack and the blond-haired guy took a stop at the gate. Jack was really out of breath. He was used to running away from cops like this but he hasn't run 10 blocks across the street for a long time.

The guy opened the gate and went in.

"Hey, where're you going?" asked Jack as he followed him. "How did you just do that back there? I mean you were like a freaking flying man, you're like a ninja."

"Kristoff," the guy gave his hand to Jack.

Jack shook it, "I'm Jackson Overland, but you can call me Jack."

"I haven't seen you around," said Kristoff as he removed some boxes that were in front of something. Jack couldn't see it because the big rag was covering it up.

"Yeah I just got here," said Jack, taking in breaths. "Just for the need of going to school that's all."

"But you're gonna be dancing too.'

Jack shook his head. "No, no, no, no the reason I'm here is to take a break from dancing. People have been telling me to face the real world."

"You really have no idea what you just did back there, do you?" Jack shook his head. "You're b-fab." Kristoff pointed at him.

"What's a b-fab?" asked Jack.

"Born from a boom box," said Kristoff making Jack chuckle. "Like some people learn to dance, others are born to. And you're in Canada, the dance centre of the world." Kristoff took off a poster and gave it to Jack. "Check this; it's the biggest battle ever." Jack looked down at the paper; on it was written in big words, World Jam. and the ones who win, will receive 100 grand. "There's never been this kind of prize money. And those guys in the park, they're gearing up for this. You're good enough, you should be in this." Kristoff removed the big rag, and it shows a black car.

Jack's eyes widen, "This is your car? Oh my God, that's so sick!"

"Get in," Kristoff opened the door gesturing for Jack to get in. "What you saw in the park today is just the beginning."

Jack and Kristoff were driving across the city. The sun had already set and all the buildings were covered in lights. Jack's head came out the window, he looked around, and he was awe struck at the view of the city.

They both arrived at the back of a building. Kristoff came out and Jack followed him, figuring this must be his place.

"This is it," said Kristoff.

"What the heck is this place?"
asked Jack.

"Welcome to my house. The house of pirates," Kristoff slide the door to the side and went in.

"Nice place, but it's a little small to live in," said Jack. Kristoff smirked, he pushed a button. Suddenly they started moving up like they were in an elevator.

"My parents converted this place years ago," said Kristoff and Jack raised an eyebrow. "We all live and train upstairs and run a club downstairs to make ends meet. Kinda like a secret hide out." Jack nodded his head amazed. They stopped. "Right, this is it." He turned around. "We call this the vault." He pushed open the door.

Jack turned around and followed him, people were dancing, some doing back flips. Jack's jaw dropped as he saw how big this place was and how it had its own dance floors.

"Okay, I take back what I said about this place being little," said Jack making Kristoff smirk.

"Around here, dance is your identity," said Kristoff. "We live together, work together, battle together. But unlike other crews, we all have different styles. I found all this guys out in this city. Crazy talent, but no place to go. We've become some kind of pseudo family here. Where we could be ourselves and rules don't apply."
