Chapter 17 - Meeting with Dad

Jack came in the living room and saw Kate, colouring her drawings.

"Kate," said Jack as he sat down on the sofa. "Where's your mom?"

"She went to the grocery store," said Kate.

"And what are you drawing?"

Kate stood up and sat next to him and gave him her drawing. It was a drawing of four people. "This is you, me, mom and grandma."

Jack's smile disappeared when she mentioned his mother. He was wondering if he should talk to her.

"Can you help me draw a car?" asked Kate.

Jack smiled at her. "Sure."

Elsa was in her room getting ready when an unexpected visitor came in her room.

"Elsa!"

Elsa turned around from the mirror with a startled expression. "Natalie?"

Natalie gave her, her signature smile making Elsa squeal. She went over and hugged her. "What are you doing here?!"

"We were in the neighbourhood so we decided to come for a visit," said Natalie.

Elsa furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, "We?"

"Zach's downstairs."

Elsa's smiles widen. It's been five months since she last saw Natalie and Zach. Zach is Elsa's cousin and Natalie is his girlfriend or future wife, that's what she and Anna liked to call her. She and Anna already liked her when Zach first introduced her to them. She was so stunning with her crystal blue eyes and bright blonde hair. They both are in their early twenties.

"Well let's go see him," Elsa turned around and took her white purse and followed Natalie out.

When they came down and into the kitchen, Anna was sitting with Zach on the dining table.

Elsa quickly went to the blue eyed guy and hugged him tightly.
"Whoa Elsa, you miss me that much?" laughed Zach.

Elsa frowned and pulled his black hair. "Of course!" she said. "Anna and I haven't heard from you and Nat in almost six months."

"Sorry we've been...busy," said Zach, glancing at Nat as she came and stood next to him.

Anna and Elsa looked at each other. "You guys are never busy," said Anna. "What's going on?"

Natalie looked at Zach. Elsa and Anna were confused as to why they both had sad expressions.

Natalie then smiled at both of them as she showed them her engagement ring. Anna squealed in excitement while Elsa smiled.

"Finally!" said Anna.

"He finally got the courage to propose to you," said Elsa. She
smirked at Zach and said sarcastically, "Zach, I'm so proud of you."

Zach shot her a playful glare. "Oh shut up, I'm not a kid."

"Seriously?" said Elsa. "You were nervous as heck when you first asked her out." She and Anna laughed at the memory.

"When's the wedding?" asked Anna.

"Well maybe when the all mob thing ends," said Nat. "He hasn't changed his mind?"

Elsa and Anna shook their heads. "No, I'm going to meet him today," said Elsa. "So? Have you seen it?"

Nat gave her a look and went over to the fridge.
