Chapter 11: Again

Jennie POV

I was nervous for the first time. I didn't know what to expect. I wanted to take things slow with Taehyung, but if he's going to ask me, I don't know really know what to say. It obviously wasn't the time to reflect on everything that happened between us.

Although it seemed like it was a dream, an unrealistic book that would never happen. It somehow made its way into reality. Your professor turned out to be your boyfriend? It doesn't sound right, in fact it was idealistic.

But some reason I wanted to care for him. It wasn't because I pitied him, but I couldn't bare the sight of him getting hurt.

Months after his leave, he was replaced by another professor. I was concerned. Was he happy? I did pray that he was. For a long time I wanted to call him and ask if he was okay.

Does he still have a problem? Is he always drunk like he was last night? I hope not.

Maybe I should say yes if he did ask.

There he was. In front of me waiting to get into the car. It was almost midnight. The night that brings us into another year of being together. He offered to open the door for me. I thanked him and entered the car. He looked really excited. I kept glancing at him. He wore a white formal long sleeved polo that hung loose on his broad shoulders. The collar wasn't buttoned up, so it exposed his collarbones. Besides that, he wore a watch and a few rings on his fingers. I couldn't help but blush and feel guilt because of the thoughts running through my mind.

"You look really pretty."

He smiled and started the car.

Taehyung POV

She wore an off shoulder black dress that showed her curves. She was pretty, but I enjoyed her company the most. I complemented her before starting the car and drove.

"Where are we going?" She asked.

"You'll see."

Jennie POV

I looked outside the window and the road was clean. There were a few cars since everybody was busy in their homes at this hour, but lights from the buildings were still open. It was an hour before it turned 12.

We arrived what seemed to be an expensive restaurant. As he helped me get out of the car, I immediately clung to his arm.

"Are you intimidated?" He asked.

"Kind of."

He chuckled at my reply. "Don't be."

We were greeted by a lady that held the reservations in this restaurant. "Ah, Mr. Kim. Right this way." She then guided us at our table. She gave me a look of judgment and looked back at Taehyung. Luckily she was kind enough to give me the menu.

I open the menu and the food prices are really expensive. "Are you really going to pay for these?" I asked. He smiles and says, "Just pick what you want for tonight. I'll take care of it." As much as I wanted to pick the least expensive dishes so Taehyung wouldn't have to pay that much, they looked the least appetizing. There's no denying that I was really hungry. I chose what I liked and gave the menu to the waitress.

"Sorry about that." Taehyung apologized.

"It's fine."

Maybe after a few minutes or so, while waiting for our meal, we had a small chat. A few questions here and there. Then a waiter offered wine. Taehyung raised his glass and the waiter poured wine into it. Taehyung looks at me and says, "Do you..." I nodded and wine was poured in my glass. I took a sip and it tasted bitter. "Hey, I promised your parents that I'll get you home in one piece." He jokingly said. "It's- its bitter." I said in disbelief. "Of course it is. Is it your first time?" I nodded and Taehyung grinned. I continued drinking and Taehyung said, "You can slow down first. We don't even have our meals yet." He said as every pinch of bitter and painful wine went down on my throat.

Taehyung POV

It's going to be my fault if I get her home tipsy. After our meals, she probably had 2-4 glasses if wine.

"Do you know Jungkook?" She asked.

"Is he the student in our class before that sat beside you?"

"Uhum. He likes Lisa." She drunkenly said.

"Really?"

"But I haven't told her yet."

"Why?"

"I forgot to." She cheekily smiled.

After that we left the restaurant. She struggled standing up and I found it cute. She held tightly on my arm and walked towards the car. "Where are you taking me next?" She asked, smiling.

"Probably home."

"But I'm not yet tired." She complains.

"Do you want to get ice cream?" I asked out of the blue.

"Where will you find an ice cream store at 11 pm?" She hiccups.

I brought her into my car and drove to the nearest 7/11.

I was at the cashier paying for the ice cream then Jennie hugged me behind my back. "I whav you." I then gave her a cone.

We went back to the car and drove. "Where are we to next?" She asked.

Jennie POV

I looked out side the window and saw thick trees as we passed by. The moon shined through the clouds, enough for everything to have shadows. A few minutes passed as I wondered where we were. Then the car stopped. Taehyung leads me out of the car as I saw the full view of the city. We were at the top of everything. The hill of our city looked like a Christmas tree and it was beautiful. Fireworks exploded into the sky. The awkward silence filled me with determination to say something. "Where are we exactly?" It was the first thing that came to my mind. Taehyung smiles and says, "Willside Park." He then grabs my hand to the railing on the side cliff we are on.

Taehyung POV

I looked at the city I am no longer will be in the next few months. Soon I am leaving this place soon to go back in Korea. There are so many things I regretted, but for once I felt like I made the greatest decision of my life. Jennie. I looked at her as we leaned on the railings. She stared at the vast view of my city. I sighed, "Hey are you alright?" She asked. " No one should be sad at New Year's" She smiled.

Jennie POV

"I have something to tell." He said, "It has been such a long time for me and I needed the right time to ask you, but will-" He was interrupted with a loud bang from the fireworks. "Will what?" I playfully asked and chuckled. "Will you be mine?" His eyes lightened up waiting for my answer. If there was an explanation for how I was feeling it was like I was going to explode into a million pieces. "Yes." He then hugged me in his excitement. It was a New Year to remember.

FOR THE LONGEST TIME FINALLY! For the next following updates ill make it more consistent. Also do a reread of chapters to keep track of the story :) Sorry for the shit chapter :(
