Chapter 8

Jennye's P.O.V.

"That will be $30.78 ma'am" a young male maybe early twenties told me.

"Alrighty" I said and pulled out my wallet giving him $50 bill and the 78 cents needed.

"Thank you here's your change" he said about to hand me back the extra $20.

"No keep it" I said pushing his hand back.

"I can't take it" he said.

"Please I insist" I told him.

"Ma'am I really appreciate it, but I can't" he said giving me the money one last time.

"Yes you can and you will" I said, as I took the money from his hands and put it in his front pocket.

Before he could pull it out and give it back to me I already slammed the door shut with a loud BANG!

"Mm pizza" I said to myself as I brought it in the house.

I bought five boxes of pizza because well why not, and I don't feel like cooking.

I ordered two pepperoni, one sausage, one bacon hamburger, and one ham and pineapple for Airika, because it's her favorite.

I hope she eats tonight lately she hasn't been eating.

I think it might be happening again. I hope not.

"Hi baby" I heard and arms snaked around my waist.

'Who the fuck had the audacity to put their arms around me and call me baby?!'

"What the fuck!" I exclaimed and pushed the arms off of me roughly and turned around seeing a pouty Christofer.

"Oh sorry baby, I didn't know it was you" I tried explaining to him.

"Well who else would it be" he asked me and I actually had to think about this.

Who else would it be I mean come on it was obviously him duh.

"Oh I bought pizza" I told him remembering that I was still in the kitchen.

"Too lazy to cook huh" Christofer teased me and went to our room. I followed behind him to our room.

"Maybe I am, because I am the only who cooks in this family anyways" I said, as a matter of fact.

"Yes you do baby and I love you for that" he said and kissed my forehead.

"Hey I have a question for you" he asked me.

"Ask away baby" I said.

"Airika has early release today right?" he asked.

"Yeah and you got out if work early today, so how about we go see a movie or do something with Airika" I told him and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Okay I'm down, but as you know Airika would rather game it up with me here and eat tons of junk food and crap provided by you but if you wanna see a movie let's do that then" he told me smirking and looked down at me.

"Shut up I know she'd rather stay home, but the sun is good to see once in awhile. I mean her room is constantly dark and every time we do have a chance to have a family day she's super tired and sleeps" I explained.

Honestly it's true Airika sleeps a lot, too much in fact that it's not healthy.

"Yeah I know, but school is probably tiring her out and that's why she's so tired don't just jump to conclusions" he told me sternly and gave me a peck.

"I know I know. Anyways I have a question for you now since we are on the topic" I said and un wrapped my arms from his neck.

"And what might this question be?" he asked.
