Chapter 16

Airika's P.O.V.

"Honey wake up" I obviously knew it was Jennye talking to me, but my eyes couldn't open up.

"Poopsie get up come on open your eyes you can do it" She encouraged.

I tried, and tried, and tried until I felt something with an immense amount of pressure.

It made me moan in pain, as my eyes slowly opened. I blinked multiple times hearing a couple gasps, until my vision became visible.

"Ahh that fucking hurts. Make it stop someone please" I yelped in pain, as a big pounding entered my head.

"Doctor can I get a doctor please!" Jennye yelled making me wince.

"My bad poopsie" she apologized, and continued playing with my fingers. Chris was on the opposite side of her doing the exact same thing as her.

"Hello what seems to be the problem?" a man in his late thirties asked as he entered the room.

The man's eyes grew wide at sight of me, "Oh miss Serna you're awake great" he smiled.

"Can I please have something for this pounding in my head to go away please" I pleaded. The doctor nodded and injected something into the I.V, that I now realized was attached to my vein.

"Here you go this should help the pounding go down. By the way my name is doctor Callum" he said examining me.

"Why am I here?" I asked confused. The pounding vanished as soon as he put the medicine I'm my I.V.

"Well you were in a coma for three weeks" the doctor said.

Wait what?

"Um no....." I trailed off not believing him.

"Would you like us to explain everything to you in private?" Doctor Callum asked me and I nodded a 'No'.

He sighed and pulled up a chair next to me.

"I'm back I got all of us fo-"Justin said coming in the room with Scoter until his eyes landed on me.

"Airika you're awake!" he screeched running over to me dropping the food, and hugging me.

"Uh yeah I guess so" I muttered hugging him back.

He pulled away, and it got quiet.

"Oh sorry are you guys talking about something important?" Justin asked and doctor Callum nodded.

"We'll just be leaving. It's great that you're awake kiddo" Scooter said then grabbed Justin out of the room with him. They closed the door leaving the room with just me, the doctor, Jennye, and Chris.

"So shall we begin?" Callum asked and we all nodded.

"Well when arrived at the house you were not conscious according to your parents" Callum begun explaining.

"Guardians" I corrected him and he nodded.

Out of my peripheral vision I saw Jennye and Chris's expressions sadden, but I just shrugged it off.

"We brought you here to do some tests finding out why you blacked out. You blacked out due to stress" He explained and I let out a sigh of relief that I didn't know I was holding in.

"But" Doctor Callum started.

"But what I'm fine aren't I?" I asked worried.

"After that we thought you'd wake up in a couple hours, but a couple hours turned into a day, which turned into two days, which turned into a week, then we figured out that it was too much for you too handle, so you slipped into a coma. It's as if your body liked being asleep, and reacted to just being in it" he explained and shock was written all over Jennye and Chris's face.
