Back and Badass

Chapter 5

Madison:

HERE WE ARE, about a week after I achieved my goal weight. I looked myself in the mirror as I lifted my shirt. You could tell there was a difference, but I looked closer in the mirror. Touching my face, I examined the acne, and touched my hair. Pulling back from the mirror I heard Aunt May call me "Madison! Come on, it's time to go to the mall!" she said and I grabbed my phone, leaving the room.

"Coming!" I shouted and jogged to the front door, she held her keys "Are you ready to go?" she asked "Also, you drive" she tossed me the keys, over the weeks I was training, I was also practicing driving, and getting my license, which took a while. "Good thing you told me to get my license so when school starts I can just drive" I told her and she nodded.

We got in her white sports car and took off down the road. She had it shipped from the states here, but it had all the regular customs of London styled cars. She told me directions as I made twists and turns down the roads. Coming to a red light she grinned "Are you ready" I nodded "It's about time" I said and she laughed.

Pulling into the mall after a while of driving, I parked the car, after searching for a park for a few minutes. Getting out I locked the door when Aunt May also got out and tossed her the keys. Walking to the entrance of the mall, which they don't call it a mall out here, but Aunt May did for my sake, well at least I don't think they do.

"What first?" she asked, "I want to get a new outfit to wear, then hairstylist" I looked at my waist length brown hair and she nodded "Also, contacts" I told her and she nodded, "Alright, off we go!" she dragged me to one of the clothing stores. Grabbing some cute light washed ripped jeans, I grabbed a fairly big anime shirt, and some shoes.

Paying for the clothes, I went to the dressing rooms and put them on, getting sizes way smaller than my jeans before. Squeezing into the foreign jeans, I slid the shirt on and used the hair-tie off my wrist and tying it behind me, so my stomach showed.

Putting on the coat my Aunt gave me, I slipped the new shoes on, grabbing my old clothes and putting them in the shopping bag. Fixing my hair, I walked out of the change room, and Aunt May whistled "Looking good girl" she said and I laughed.

"Alright, to the nail/hair salon!" she declared as she dragged me out of the store, we walked to the hair shop and walked in. "Hello, what can I do for you" a woman told me and I walked to her "I would like to get my hair cut, and dyed" I said and she nodded "You?" she turned to Aunt May and she shook her head "I will sit over here" she said and walked over to the wait area.

The lady rushed me to the chair and sat me down "So what do you want?" she questioned "I want to get my hair trimmed, til about here" I gestured to the middle of my back and she nodded "I also want it dyed red, kind of like fire red" I said and she nodded. "I have an idea" she said and I nodded "This red will compliment your eyes" she told me and I nodded.

After about an hour, my hair was chopped off, washed, and combed through. "Now I am going to dye it" she told me and I looked at my hair, a little sad, but happy. "Let's do it" I said and the dying process started, that took about another hour and a half. When she was finished, she curled it and then added some type of spray on it.

"And done" she said and I looked in awe at my reflection, my hair was beautiful, "Thank you so much, here" I payed for my hair and gave her a 20 dollar tip. "For you" I said and she thanked me. Walking to my Aunt I waved goodbye and when I reached her I cleared my throat "Madison, is that you?" she smiled and I laughed.

"Yes it's me, also, call me Madi, Madison is too formal" I shook my head, and she nodded, "Well Madi, let's go" she said and I laughed as we left the shop. We went to the nail shop, and I just got my nails and toes painted, my toes white, and my nails french tip.

We quickly walked to the glasses and contact store and got my prescription that we called in a few days ago. After that we walked to this store that sells beauty products, and some other stuff, like a Walmart or something.

"What am I supposed to get here" I questioned and she tsked me. Taking me down the isles, she had a shopping cart, and explained what product was what when she picked it up "This is for the acne, this is to exfoliate, this is a mask to help your face, this is a nice oil to soothe your face," she kept firing products at me and I nodded.

"Alright, now for the hair stuff," she said, she picked up a blow dryer, and a flat iron, and a curling iron, "Here is a nice mask for your hair, and good shampoo and conditioner for your hair" she grabbed like two or three of each bottle and put it in the basket. "Here is setting spray and brushes and things like that" after getting some more stuff, like hair ties, rubber bands, etc, we left the hair isle.

We walked to the other branch of the store, which was for body wash and lotions, and was it's own separate store, but attached to this one. I grabbed some nice vanilla and lavender soaps, and the same type of lotion, grabbing a few different types of perfume. Leaving there, and going back to the other store, I grabbed feminine products, and bathroom products, including new towels and toothbrushes.

I also grabbed other little things for my room, and a new sketch book, and writing journal. Aunt May in my ear telling me what else I needed, and dragged me around the store, putting stuff in the basket. After we finished, we payed and left that store. "A few more stores, then food court" she said and I laughed.

She took me to get a computer, then took me to get new underwear and bra's and socks. We also got a hamper and some hangers and other stuff we seen for my room. We went to this art store and got some more supplies, and we also got school supplies. Aunt May gave some money to this guy with a truck and some people to take some of it back.

She then took me to this makeup store and got me so much make up, which I knew how to use, watching my mom and all, I just never used it myself. After getting all that we left the mall, bags almost toppling out of our arms as we rushed to the car.

We high fived and laughed "That was fun" Aunt May said as she finished her pretzel, I quickly finished my pizza and nodded, "Celebratory pizza" I held up the slice and she nodded and drove back to the house.

Waving at the guy who drives the truck I walked inside, Aunt May helped me put all my bags in my room, which took about 3 or 4 trips each, and that guy who drives the truck was nice enough to put the stuff he brought for me from the shopping center in the house.

"Tomorrow we will get your clothes" she told me and I nodded "Thank you May, I would have never gotten here if it wasn't for you" I said and gave her a hug "Hey, you did months of work, and it's paying off" she said and we bid ways in goodnight.

Looking at the time, I seen it was almost 10, I decided to put away everything I brought, which Aunt May helped me bring in here, putting everything in their respective area's, I made everything nice and neat and then finally collapsed on my bed, falling asleep.

Heyo folks it's chapter 5 for you, and I am happy with how this is turning out. I think I have gotten better. Also I might post chapter 6 today but I don't know I've rewritten like 3 chapters today so we'll see.
