~"Give the gift of your absence to those who do not appreciate you presence"~

Whether Lillie wished to admit it or not, she had a tendency to leave Brielle out of things. Brielle wasn't necessarily upset about it, but once Celeste started taking notice to this, she dumped all her plans and chose to only hang out with her best friend, someone she already had more fun with anyways.

It was a Sunday, two nights before Celeste was heading up to Brielle and her families cabin for a week filled with laughter, card games, singing at random times and colouring in adult colouring books. Something that wouldn't appeal to other people, but with how close Celeste and Brielle were, they found it fun and amazing.

Celeste was packing her suitcase, rolling all of her clothes up carefully and trying to find a place to put her colouring stuff.

Lillie: hey, we should hang!

Celeste picked up her phone, which was currently playing a random All Time Low song, and opened up her message.

Celeste: can't, spending the next week up at Brielle's cabin.

Lillie: what about after? You me and Hazel could go to the pool and hang

Celeste: maybe... but what about Brielle?

Lillie: she probably wouldn't want to come anyways, so...?

Celeste didn't want to upset Lillie, but she didn't want to hang out with her, especially when Brielle was, once again, being excluded.

Celeste: maybe...

Lillie: do you hate me?

Celeste: what... no!

Lillie: it appears as such, you only ever hang out with Brielle

Celeste: i'm closer with her, you know that Lillie...

Lillie: so...!

Celeste: so i would rather hang out with her... maybe we can hang idk okay?!

Lillie: whatever

Celeste rolls her eyes at her phone before going into spotify, picking a new song, and continuing to pack her suitcase.

You can't get me down for this fun filled week coming up, I won't let you.

Celeste, since January of this year, has talked to this amazing person over Twitter. She's never had a true internet friend before, and to be honest doesn't 100% trust people over the internet, but they clicked with everything and continued to talk. They share everything with each other. Their feelings, past, and funny things that happen to them. This fight with Lillie was no different.

Celeste: do you remember me talking about my friend Lillie?

Sam: no, i don't think so

Celeste: okay, well she's my friend up here, not my closest friend, Brielle is my closest friend, but i've told you about her

Sam: did something happen to you two?

Celeste: yea... kind of...

Celeste sent the screenshots of her and Lillie's conversation to Sam for her to read.

Sam: wow...

Celeste: yea... i kinda blocked her on everything too...

Sam: wow... sounds peachy man. good idea tho she seems like a bitch...

Celeste: oh yes, peachy and she kinda is. My mum was happy to hear that i dropped her

Sam: me too

Sam was always helpful, whether she actually gave advice or just made her laugh, like in this case.

Celeste: thank you Sam

Sam: no problem m8 :)

"I can't believe she said that..." Brielle trails off as she looks up from Celeste's phone and hands it back to her. They were both already comfortable in the back of her dad's pickup, ready to head off to the cabin.

"Me neither, I'm actually really mad at her. I blocked her on everything."

"I'm not exactly happy with her either." Brielle began to reposition herself, grabbing her fluffy blanket and pulling it on top of her legs.

"I'm sorry Brielle."

"Nah, it's good. She was never that good of a friend, and I've got you anyways." Brielle smiled at Celeste, and she couldn't help but smile back.

"You're right."

And so as they drove off, ready to make the six hour drive to the cabin, the girl's stress slowly began to dissolve and began to fall off of their breaking and crumbling shoulders. They were finally ready to give up the girl that kept them up at night, confusing them and making them slowly go mentally insane.
