~"The worst thing about being lied to is knowing you weren't worth the truth"~

Lillie, Oh Lillie. She was sweet, loving and showed she cared. But as any person, she has flaws. Flaws that make certain people mad and leave. She was highly religious (not that religion was the problem) and she didn't quite get Brielle. She had a tendency of excluding her, and making fun of her without 100% realising it. She was a great friend, until everything slowly changed and she began to show less of an interest. She just couldn't wrap her head around the idea that Celeste and Brielle were close and more like sisters than they'd ever be

Celeste and Brielle were best friends. They were closer than they've ever been with anyone else, and everyone realised that. They hung out every weekend, baked cookies together, did everything together. They had their own conversations at lunch, not necessarily excluding anyone but just did not want to join in or talk about what random topic or anime or whatever youtube thing they were discussing. Rather, they talked about their plans that weekend, or a funny embarrassing thing that happened to them in class. Brielle and Celeste were very close, and were confused on why Lillie thought that was a bad thing

* * * *

Brielle: Do you need examples? Not too long ago you took a picture of us and called us lesbians before posting it online. That hurt us ya know.

Celeste was sick that day, and Brielle likes to lean on people. That's it. Nothing more than two best friends who are more like sisters leaning on each Sure, Celeste is a bisexual, but that doesn't mean she likes every girl or guy she sees. It's never been that way. It was quite a hurtful thing to do, spreading rumours about two people who are for sure not lesbian. Not exactly good for their reputation, especially when one goes to church.

Lillie: That was a joke you know, I would never make fun of you guys.

Celeste: What about that time you made fun of Brielle and her accent? Calling it fake because she "wanted attention".

Lillie: I- I didn't. I would never do such a thing...

Sure she wouldn't. Brielle and Celeste want to believe it but they can't. Brielle remembers clearly what happened that day in English. Not being able to pronounce a word and being made to try and repeat it multiple times in front of the class. It was humiliating to say the least.

Lillie: We're changing topics too much, What do you want from me?

Brielle: We want you to be honest, that's all we've done why can't you?

Honesty, the best policy. You should always be honest. It's something your parents taught you as you grew up.

always be honest, nobody likes a liar

Never lie to your friends, always tell your teachers the truth and they'll be easier on you. The more you lie the bigger and worse of a punishment you'll have.

Lillie: I've been honest the entire time guys, why can't you just grasp that?

They didn't. She was obviously lying. It was blatant lies she wouldn't confess to, and probably never would.

Lillie: you guys have known me long enough to know I would never lie to you guys, I hate lying!

But you do it so well Lillie, better than you'll ever realise. Phones don't randomly block people, it doesn't work that way. It never has. Celeste and Brielle both laugh and roll their eyes over the Facetime call they were sharing at a little past midnight.

Sure Lillie, Sure
