Chapter 3: Face Your Fears

'"Sam, go to Slaughter Swamp to create Fear Gas so we can put fear in those who defy us," said Kal. Sam agreed to it. Sam was wearing a noose around his neck, a black leather, sleeveless vest with no shirt underneath, black leather jeans and black army boots. He also sported chain bracelets on both arms.'

"And that's all I know," said Jack. "Fear Gas. That'll make you live your worst fears," said Mateo. "We gotta stop Sam from shipping the gas to Kal," said Dinah. "Well, looks like we're going to Slaughter Swamp." "Yeah, we're going on a field trip!" said Jack. "Pack your bug spray," said Mateo. "Very mosquito-y," said Jack.

The trio arrived at Slaughter Swamp. They went up and peered through a window. "Careful!" shouted Sam. "I need all of the shipment in one piece!" Sam had a few people helping (more like forced) him making the gas. "I need this finished in 5 days or Kal will have your head!" Sam threatened. "Can't you move any faster, you sons of bitches!" "That's a whole lot of Fear Gas," said Dinah. "Yeah, we better stop them before all hell breaks loose," said Jack. Mateo moved a little to get comfortable, but caused a metal object to fall with a loud crash. "Shit," cursed Mateo. "What was that?" One of the men asked. "None of your business. Keep working!" shouted Sam. He had a thought on who it was and headed outside. "We gotta go," said Dinah. The trio ran but were stopped by Sam. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here?" said Sam. "It seems you changed sides, Quinn (Jack's nickname)." "I had a change of heart, cutie," said Jack. "Well, I guessed you don't love Seth," taunted Sam. "No, I still love my Puddin!" shouted Jack. "I knew that will get to you. Now face you fears!" said Sam. He threw a gas grenade and it released Fear Gas, enveloping Jack. He fell to the ground choking on the gas. He could see his fear appearing: a shadowy figure crawled towards him. It was being absorbed into his body. Jack's eyes glowed a dark shade of purple. He could see visions of animals killed, animal blood stained his hands. In the distance, he saw Seth lying on the ground, blood staining his body. Jack ran towards his crush's lifeless body. Seth was dead. Tears streaking Jack's cheeks. The horrible visions started to fade away. In reality, Dinah kicked the grenade away from Jack. He was back in the real world. Actual tears streaked his face. Jack saw Dinah kneeling down comforting Jack. In the distance, he saw Mateo fighting Sam. Sam overwhelmed Mateo. Dinah rushed into the fight. Dinah did a back flip, knocking the sickle off his hand. "You want a fight?" asked Sam. "Fine, good luck trying to fight the King of Fears," said Sam. Dinah ran towards Sam, but he dodged the attack, hitting her in the back. "You can't beat me," taunted Sam. He walked towards her to taunt her more. Dinah was furious. A gold energy engulfed her. She got up and used a supersonic scream to stun Sam she then punched him into the air. She punched him into ground while in the air, she screamed at him to pin him onto the ground. Then she used a power punch slammed him right in the face. Dinah was shocked on what happened. She never experienced this kind of power. The other two were shocked also. "What was that?" asked Dinah. "That was a super move," said Sam. "Sir, it's ready," said one of the men. "Good," said Sam. He ran over to the two boats where the Fear Gas was loaded. Sam got on the empty one next to the loaded one. All of the men ran on the boats and rode off. "They're getting away," shouted Dinah. "Don't worry, I got this, Canary," said Jack. He loaded one of his guns with TNT, lit it and shot at the boat the has the gas. The TNT land on the boat and it exploded. All of the Fear Gas shipment was gone. "Damn it!" shouted Sam. The trio celebrated. They left Slaughter Swamp to see what other plans they can put a stop to it.

At the Regime Headquarters, Sam arrived. He walked towards Kal and Seth. "Where's the Fear Gas?" asked Kal. "It's gone," responded Sam. "What! How is this possible?" asked Kal. "It was they insurgents," said Sam. "And they have a member." "Who?" asked Kal, curiously. "Quinn," responded Sam. Kal and Seth were shocked, not as shocked as Seth. Seth's heart was shattered to a million pieces. He even felt tears forming. He got up and left the two, heading towards his room. Kal and Sam knew why he left. "That's not all," said Sam. "One of them learned a super move." "What?" asked Kal. "Who?" "Dinah," Sam responded. "Damn it," Kal cursed under his breath. "If all of the learned super moves, it be the end of the regime. We must stop them at all costs!" said Kal. "Couldn't agree more, sir," complied Sam.
